Stay True to the Lord Jesus

Stay true to the Lord, renounce the other clubs & I’m w/Paul, etc.  “I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ, Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Were you baptized in the name of Paul?” 1 Corinthians 1:12-13 (NIV).

Be united in Jesus.  The enemy comes to destroy and divide, don’t be fooled.

“But Jesus told him, “Anyone who puts a hand to the plow and then looks back is not fit for the Kingdom of God.” ” Luke 9:62 (NIV).

Mark 9:38-41, “Teacher,” said John, “we saw someone driving out demons in your name and we told him to stop, because he was not one of us. “Do not stop him,” Jesus said. “For no one who does a miracle in my name can in the next moment say anything bad about me, for whoever is not against us is for us. Truly I tell you, anyone who gives you a cup of water in my name because you belong to the Messiah will certainly not lose their reward.”

Ephesians 4:38-41, “Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God,with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”

True Stories

Keep repeating the Words of the Bible & they’ll give you life.  They’re God’s Words so they keep making life, recreating.

But when you repeat gossip it might not be true & there’s no life in it.  The story keeps the person or circumstance in the same position & there’s no vision or change.  Mind your words to be life-giving.  Refuse to repeat stories that are death-giving. (Is it true, is it kind, is it edifying?)

The power of life & death are on the tongues, Prov 18:21

I give you abundant life, says Jesus in John 10:10

How sweet are Your Words to my taste!  Psalm 119:103

The School Children…

…are crying out for righteousness.  Crying out for goodness that only comes from Jesus.

Asking a world that’s evil to be right?

(Zephaniah 3:5) The Lord within her is righteous;
    He does no wrong.
Morning by morning He dispenses His justice,
and every new day He does not fail,
yet the unrighteous know no shame.

The young generation wants their peers to have more value, to succeed & to honor others & be morally right.

Jesus says in Matthew 5:6, “Those who hunger & thirst for righteousness will be filled.” [by the Lord.]

God, You’re the only One who’s good.  And the Word of God is the only thing strong enough to put evil down!

Power & glory!  Psalm 63:2.lion-wild-africa-african.jpg

Dear Father, we praise & thank You for healing the baby in utero & Doris from cancer, Lord God.  We would have traded places with them in a heartbeat if we could have.  But we didn’t have to, because You touched them.  Now the baby can be born in a normal local hospital instead of hospital for high risk pregnancies. And You have plans for life & a hope for Doris.  And we thank You and worship You & love You.

Iron Sharpens Iron – Proverbs 27:17

Dear Lord, I pray for those of us that are isolated.  Help us to open up to friends and church families, how else can we know that we’re sinning unless someone tells us?  It’s scary that we’re all capable of sin, especially of the heart, but that’s why we need You Lord and Your work on the Cross.  We can never get right on our own.  Father, I’m in Your eternal debt for taking me in as one of Your family.

A true friend will be honest with you, “take the log out of your own eye,” (Mt 7:5).  Some sins of the heart are fear, judgment and pride (Genesis 6:5).

John says, “if we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth isn’t in us,” 1John 1:8.  The truth is we can’t do any of God’s and Jesus’ commands in the Bible on our own.  If we’re right in some areas, we’re wrong in others.  If we strive to not do the sins  someone else did and we succeed, we succeed in judging them, too.  Jesus says, with what measure you use, it’ll be measured to you.” (Mark 4:24).

Life’s a Paradox

He makes all things (including the ugliest) new (Rev 21:5).    He makes all things beautiful (Ecc 3).

How’s your heart? Are your eyes beautiful, hopeful?  Is the glass half-full?

If you lose your life, you’ll find it? (Matt 16:25).  Though a righteous man fall 7 times, he’ll get up? (Proverbs 24:16).  Can anything good come from Nazareth? (John 1:46). “In Him was life, and the life of men.” John 1:4.

Those who hunger and thirst for righteousness will be filled? (Matt 5:6).

The Lord gave Job double (Job 42:10).  Ruth 2:10: “Why have I found grace in your eyes, seeing I am a stranger?”

“He gives power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increases strength.” Isaiah 40:29.  “A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation. I, the Lord, will hasten it in its time.” Isaiah 60:22.

Genesis 2:7, “And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.”

“Jesus said, My grace is sufficient for you: for My strength is made perfect in weakness.”  2 Corinthians 12:9.

“Jesus said, tell John; the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and to the poor the gospel is preached.” Luke 7:22.

“And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith,” Luke 17:5

Jesus said in Mark 11:24, “Therefore I say unto you, that what things you so desire, when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you shall have them.”

“The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into His side, I will not believe.  And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you. Then said He to Thomas, Reach hither your finger, and behold My hands; and reach here your hand, and thrust it into My side: and be not faithless, but believing.  And Thomas answered and said unto Him, My Lord and my God.  Jesus said unto him, Thomas, because you have seen me, you have believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.” John 20:26-29.

“Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me, John 14:1.

“[convict them] Of sin, because they believe not on Me,” John 16:9.

“Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believes in Me, though he were dead, yet shall he live, And whosoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Believe you this?” John 11:25-26; vs. 40: “Jesus said unto her, Said I not unto you, that, if you would believe, you should see the glory of God?”

Amos 3:7, “Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but He reveals His secret unto His servants the prophets.”

In John 14:26, “He’ll teach you all things.” “Hell show you things to come,” says Jesus in John 16:13.  Psalm 25:14, “The secret of the Lord is with them that fear Him, and He’ll show them His covenant.”

Father God seems to be a paradox.  Oswald Chambers in “My Utmost for His Highest” January 2, says, He won’t tell you what He’s going to do, but He reveals Who He is.

Romans 11:33, “O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God!  how unsearchable are His judgments, and His ways past finding out.”

Yet we reach Him only through the Door of Christ.  John 14:6, “Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes unto the Father, but by Me.”

Yesterday, You Lord, reminded me that my circumstances are a Sign to who is following Jesus.  What I do and what others say, do we match Your word?

Things are accelerating and the Lord Jesus is Excelling !  Cling to Him.  Stuff in the natural is a bummer, we need His truth more and more as new things are thrown at us.  God is sovereign and knows everything.

My friend and I encouraged each other with the knowledge that even when things look bad, You’re still in control.  Other friends are worried about different conspiracies in the news.

Ecclesiastes 3, His timing is perfect.  Jeremiah 32:27, “Behold, I AM the Lord, the God of all flesh, is there anything too hard for Me?”
