God of Truth vs Father of Lies

You can take the devil out of the person, if they’re willing.  Choose this day whom you’ll serve.

God of Truth:

Deut 32:4, “He is the Rock, His work is perfect; for all His ways are justice, a God of truth and without injustice; righteous & upright is He.”

Psalm 119:60, “the entirety of Your word is truth, and every one of Your righteous judgments endures forever.”

John 8:32, “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

John 14:6, “Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through Me.'”

Father of Lies:

John 8:44, “ You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.

John 10:10, “The thief does not come except to steal, kill and destroy.

Rev 21:27, “But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.”

Believe in the Light

“While you have the light, believe in the light, that you may become sons of light.” These things Jesus spoke, and departed, and was hidden from them.” John 12:36 (NKJV).

“The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light. And the nations of those who are saved shall walk in its light, and the kings of the earth bring their glory and honor into it.”  Revelation 21:23-24 (NKJV).

“Your word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path,” Psalm 119:105.  Running through my mind this morning.

“The light shines in the darkness and the darkness does’t overcome it,” John 1:5.

“Once more Jesus addressed the crowd. He said, I am the Light of the world. He who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.” John 8:12 (AMP).

Until I See With My Own Eyes

John 20:25 (NIV), “So the other disciples told Him, “We have seen the Lord!” But he [Thomas] said to them, “Unless I see the nail marks in His hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe.”  A great message I heard from a Pastor, says, Jesus honored Thomas’ wish and met him exactly where he was and showed him personally His palms and side.  What a Friend!  He totally knows what he’s talking about now.  He’ll do and has done the same for us all.

Should one who has never been to the ocean, ought to try to describe it?

“If you weren’t there – shut your mouth,” reads a Viet nam War Veteran’s bumper sticker.

O Lord, please give me humility, to speak when spoken to and speak truth in love and compassion of what I know.

We Can Think Like Jesus

because He told us His word.  Jesus says, “Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becomes us to fulfill all righteousness,” to John (His cousin) in Matthew 3:15.  And to the crowd, He said, “Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven,” in Matthew 5:10.

Jesus told us in Matt 5:43-45, “You’ve heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;  That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.”

Jesus answered and said unto him, “What I do thou knowest not now, but thou shalt know hereafter.” in John 13:7

“I AM the way, the truth, and the life…” says Jesus in John 14:6. “This is the way, walk in it,” Isaiah 30:21. “We have the mind of Christ,”  1 Corinthians 2:16.

Dear Lord, You’re 100% right all the time, may we always follow You, our Best Friend and Lord and Teacher, and not the crowd.

“Spiritual Knowledge Is Power” from Jeanie Shepard Ministries

see this powerful reminder of who God is, who you are by a friend:  via Spiritual Knowledge Is Power

Scripture References: Matthew 3:13-17; 4:1-11

After Jesus was baptized, He was declared the Son of God by His Father. He was then led into the wilderness for 40 days and 40 nights, by the Holy Spirit. The devil appeared in a visible form and he spoke with an audible voice. His mission was to tempt Jesus to sin against God.

“If thou be the Son of God, command these stones to be made bread,” he said.

His intent was to plant a seed of doubt into the mind of Christ. He wanted Jesus to doubt His Divine Sonship. Jesus replied, “It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.” Though he laid his divinity aside, Jesus had not forgotten who his Father declared him to be.

Below, I have shared a few facts that I believe may enrich you strategically before the onset of every spiritual battle. Spiritual armor and weapons are what we use to defeat the enemy. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high place; (Eph. 6:12-18).

#1 – Know your identity in Christ, and know who you belong to.

But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light, (1 Peter 2:9 KJV).

The devil observed Jesus’ outward appearance and concluded that after 40 days and nights Jesus had to be very hungry and weak. After all, he is just a man who needed food for nourishment and strength. Jesus consistantly quoted what was already written in the Scriptures.

#2 – You must submit to God first!

Submit yourselves therefore to God, resist the devil and he will flee from you; (James 4:7 KJV).

Then devil took Jesus to the holy city and sat him on a pinnacle of the temple; (Matt. 4:5). He said, “If you are the Son of God throw yourself down.” The devil was tempting Jesus to jump from the highest point to see if God will command angels to catch him; (Ps. 91:11). Jesus replied, “It is written: Do not put the Lord your God to the test.”

The serpent used the same tactics with Eve in the Garden of Eden. He used the forbidden fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil to tempt her, and she took the bait. “Go ahead and eat the fruit, you won’t die, you’ll be like God,” he said, (paraphrased). So, Eve exchanged the spoken truth of God’s word for satan’s lie. Disobedience resulted in the fall of man; (Gen. 3).

#3 – God is forever faithful; all of His promises are true.

We the People

…repent and seek forgiveness of all our sins of additions: lust, alcohol, gossiping, stealing, lying.  Then you’ll have a voice when speaking to the drug addicted in your cities, to change their lives & get clean.

Jesus says, he without sin can be the first to stone her in John 8:7-9, 11

“So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground. And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.  She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn you: go, and sin no more.”

Numbers

All kinds of numbers have meaning in our lives: time, statistics, weather temperature, your weight, stock market, the date, income, age.

Bible verses are the power of God and can be found represented in dreams and anything in your life., to give you meaning.

Once a dream had 98 in it, I looked up the 98th Psalm and it was glorious.

When you look at a clock…look up the numbers in the Word.  God wants to love you, teach you, give you full life.

Psalm 98 (NKJV), “Oh, sing to the Lord a new song!
For He has done marvelous things;
His right hand and His holy arm have gained Him the victory.
The Lord has made known His salvation;
His righteousness He has revealed in the sight of the nations.
He has remembered His mercy and His faithfulness to the house of Israel;
All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

Shout joyfully to the Lord, all the earth;
Break forth in song, rejoice, and sing praises.
Sing to the Lord with the harp,
With the harp and the sound of a psalm,
With trumpets and the sound of a horn;
Shout joyfully before the Lord, the King.

Let the sea roar, and all its fullness,
The world and those who dwell in it;
Let the rivers clap their hands;
Let the hills be joyful together before the Lord,
For He is coming to judge the earth.
With righteousness He shall judge the world,
And the peoples with equity.

His Presence

I received prayer for an upcoming confrontation.  It sounded like I “heard” a Christian hymn from a nearby radio that only plays secular.  Felt burning heat in my palm, when I normally only feel that during powerful worship sessions in the Lord’s presence.  The outcome was I didn’t have to confront, I remained calm, and the Lord spoke through me.

Daddy God, thank You for being with me and holding my hand on a tense day.  Moreover You have defended me.  We take pity on those that don’t know You.  Cover us with Your blood, Your armor and Truth.

Jesus says, in Luke 12:12, “For the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what you ought to say.”

Isaiah 51:16, “And I have put My words in your mouth, and I have covered you in the shadow of Mine hand, that I may plant the heavens, and lay the foundations of the earth, and say unto Zion, Thou art my people.”

Luke 21:15 (NIV), “For I will give you words and wisdom that none of your adversaries will be able to resist or contradict.”

Matthew 28:20, …”And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

Psalm 82:2 (NASB), “Vindicate the weak and fatherless; Do justice to the afflicted and destitute.”

This is the Stronghold

This is the plumline, you can’t trust other people or other teachers?  Measure everything by the Word.  The Bible has to remain intact.  This is the truth.  My cup is overflowing, my tongue is the pen of a ready writer.

Reading 1John this morning about Your Love and Power.  Thank You Father, I love You.

Psalm 18:2 (NKJV), “The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer;
My God, my strength, in whom I will trust;
My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.”
