“Therefore you now have sorrow; but I will see you again and your heart will rejoice, and your joy no one will take from you.
“And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you.
“Until not you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.” Jesus in John 16:22-24 (NKJV)
Sometimes I laugh, and sometimes I only realize I have joy as an afterthought. To me, joy is a by-product of trusting and resting in the Lord. Though chasing it doesn’t seem to work, lol.
Psalm 30: 5, 11-12:
“For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.
“You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; you have put off my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness, to the end that my glory may sing praise to You and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks to You forever.”
Psalm 16:11, “In Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”
“Sing to Him a new song; Play skillfully with a shout of joy. For the word of the Lord is right, and all His work is done in truth. He loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord.” Psalm 33:3-5 (NKJV).
“But seek the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added to you. Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.” Jesus teaches in Luke 12:31-32.
“You are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power; for You created all things, and by Your will they exist and were created.” Revelation 4:11.
Dear Lord, we love You beyond words. “I woke up today,” that’s enough reason to dwell with You, thank You, glorify You, and see Your work in everything around us.
***Thanks all you readers and writers! You’re in my prayers as well, thanks for all the likes!
My order of business for the Lord’s Sabboath was to be at Peace, then I’d do some stuff. The usual way is to spend hours with the Lord, reading His word, drinking coffee, singing, praising and worshiping and writing. My co-worker nodded in agreement, not knowing how I get “It”.
Dear Jesus, You are my Fountain, when I’m dry, I look to You for Your rains, O, Lord. Let it rain, bring the rain, the latter rain.
my soul thirsts for You, my flesh longs for You in a dry & thirsty land, where no water is; to see Your power & Your glory, so as I have seen You in the sanctuary.
“Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise You.”
Dear Lord, reading You loud and clear! Reading through The Scarlet Thread, she quotes Psalm 63! Last week Ps63:3, was quoted to me, the other day telling a friend the Pastor read Psalm 63 at the Hospice lunch.
To You, God, be the glory, honor and thanks and praise, Father Lord! I dedicate “Kind & Generous” (Natalie Merchant) to You, forever. Your word is proven, (Psalm 18:30) like a mathematical equation. You’re always right and always on time! You’re perfect!
Psalm 18:1-2, says, “I will love You, O Lord, my strength, the Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in Whom I’ll trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation.”
“Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my strength and my redeemer,” says, Psalm 19:14. The more I find out about You, the more I love You, bless You, Lord...”At midnight I’ll rise to give thanks to You because of Your righteous judgments.” Psalm 119:62.
*In what ways have you promoted Jesus in your life?
“The men of Nineveh will stand up with this generation at the judgment, and will condemn it because they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and behold, someThing greater than Jonah is here. The Queen of the South will rise up with this generation at the judgment and will condemn it, because she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and behold, someThing greater than Solomon is here.” says Jesus (Matt 12:41-42 NASB version)
Jesus says in Matthew 12:3-8 (OKJ version), “Have you not read what David did when he was hungry, and they that were with him: How he entered into the house of God, and did eat the showbread, which was not lawful for him to eat, either for them which were with him, but only for the priests? Or have you not read in the law, how that on the sabbath days the priests in the temple profane the sabbath, and are blameless? But I say to you, that in this place is One greater than the temple. For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day.”
Throughout a long-term mission trip, heard “SomeOne greater is here” in the spirit. People were going along their busy lives, some having a form of godliness, but they weren’t recognizing Him. If you’ll seek, ask and allow Jesus into your homes, workplaces, school…cars…hearts, He’ll be everything you need, forever. *Revival will come.
