In a Garden

Jesus was arrested:

“When Jesus had spoken these words, He went out with His disciples over the Brook Kidron, where was a garden, which He and His disciples entered… Then the detachment of troops and the captain and the officers of the Jews arrested Jesus and bound Him.” John 18:1, 12

God will comfort you:

“For the Lord will comfort Zion, He will comfort all her waste places;
He will make her wilderness like Eden, And her desert like the garden of the Lord; Joy and gladness will be found in it, Thanksgiving and the voice of melody.”  Isaiah 51:3

We receive work:

“Then the Lord God took [a]the man and put him in the garden of Eden to [b]tend and keep it.”   Genesis 2:15

We receive paradise:

In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. And there shall be no more curse, but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him.”                Revelation 22:2-3

“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” Ephesians 6:12

“While we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen.  For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.” 2 Corinthians 4:18

“For we walk by faith, not be sight.” 2 Corinthians 5:7

Layers of atmosphere, spirits good & evil.  Pay attention to Him, our Father.  Agree with His Holy Spirit.  A recent meditation class wants you to empty your mind, but fill it with what?

“I know a man in Christ…caught up to the third heaven.” 2 Corinthians 12:2

“…he was caught up into Paradise…” 2 Corinthians 12:4

“Don’t Fear the One Who Kills the Body…

…and after that has no more they can do.  But I forewarn you who you shall fear: Fear Him Which after He has killed has power to cast you into hell.  I say unto you, fear Him.” says Jesus in Luke 12:4-5.

This verse kept coming to me when my sister died suddenly and before her time.  Her untimely death causing great sorrow.

While there is no comfort on earth to take away the pain, God’s word is life. No matter what happens in our earthly life, we are together with Christ for eternity.  Jesus says to the man on the cross next to Him, “you’ll be with Me in paradise,” in Luke 23:43.

Even though I can’t understand this, God has never and will never lie, so I’ll just trust Him.

Some people say that when you fear God, you fear nothing else.
