People talk about spirits, but do we know the Holy One?
“However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.” explains Jesus in John 16:13 (NKJV)
“For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.” Paul preaches in Romans 8:2
“The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord.” Isaiah 11:2
“But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.” Romans 8:11
“But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.” Jesus says in John 14:26
“And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.” Ephesians 4:30 (NIV)
One morning on route to work I decided to speak life, to actively reach higher, look higher, speak good things. Later I saw a newspaper heading on a lobby table: ‘Life & Death.’ “Life & Death are in the power of the tongue,” Proverbs 18:21.
First thing: Whoever desires to be first shall be slave of all (Mark 10:44)
First thing: I AM WHO I AM has sent me (Exodus 3:14)
First thing: He is the Savior of the world (John 4:42)
First thing Honor your father & mother (Ephesians 6:2)
First thing: Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your mind, all your soul & all your strength. And love your neighbor as yourselves (Luke 10:27).
the forester said, walking through the Sierra Nevada during winter; snow laced over the branches, a foot deep on the ground.
At first glance, it looks dead, but all the snow & ice melt in spring to water the trees and plants, and bring life.
A friend told me this analogy that while the tree looks dormant in winter, God is preparing and growing it as He does with us. Hallelujah, Lord, thank You, Lord Father for all Your ways are truth and life. Thank You for teaching us to know and trust You throughout varying circumstances, in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
