“King of Kings

and Lord of Lords, is Jesus,”

the young man stated. He wanted to impress on me where the Bible says you’re not to condemn a man for stealing in order to eat.  That’s a great start!

I’m reading this book “The Ragamuffin Gospel” by Brennan Manning, Multnomah Books, 1990.  It’s dynamite about how stuck up we all are.  It’s based on Matthew 9:9-13, where Jesus is eating and having fellowship with so called sinners, you’ll look at people differently when you read it, too.

“for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Romans 10:13 (NIV)

“People do not despise a thief if he steals to satisfy himself when he is starving. Yet when he is found, he must restore sevenfold; He may have to give up all the substance of his house.” Proverbs 6:30-31 (NKJV)

The Red Maple

I guess you didn’t expect me to have red leaves. In the winter I looked like all the other bare trees.  You were taken by surprise in the Spring when I showed my real leaf color.

But God knew what He was doing when He made me in secret in my mother’s womb, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made and my heart knows it right well (Psalm 139:13,14).

Man looks at the outward appearance, but God looks at the heart (1 Samuel 16:7).

All my days were fashioned for me when as yet there were none of them (Psalm 139:16). Amen.

Reasoning on Faith

Is their faith in God head knowledge?  They try to figure Him out, but He’s out of the box.  The word says, “Great is our Lord, and of great power: His understanding is infinite,” in Psalm 147:5.

The reason he or she can’t have faith in God the Father may be because they can’t understand Him.  Whereas Jesus lives in your heart (John 14:17).  The heart is above the mind in Jesus’ and God the Father’s words.  That’s where you truly are.  That’s why God looked in David’s heart and chose him as king of Israel in 1 Samuel 16, beyond the reasoning of even Samuel the powerful prophet.

Some religions have rules that if they’re not followed it may seem irreverant.  How can someone be justified of being saved by God and being in His holy family?  We can’t.  We are saved by faith through grace , says Ephesians 2:8.
