“And now for a little while grace has been shown from the Lord our God, to leave us a remnant to escape, and to give us a peg in His holy place, that our God may enlighten our eyes and give us a measure of revival in our bondage.
“For we were slaves. Yet our God did not forsake us in our bondage; but He extended mercy to us in the sight of the kings of Persia, to revive us, to repair the house of our God, to rebuild its ruins, and to give us a wall in Judah and Jerusalem.”
“For thus says the High and Lofty One who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy:
“‘I dwell in the high and holy place, with him who has a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.'”
Some of us are in revival now, position yourself! Jesus is here, wholeness is here – today. I was surprised several years ago, in a spirit-filled church, a woman said, ‘We’re in revival now.’ Believe.
We’ve turned toward You Lord God, we’ve put our sins away from us and hate them.
We wholeheartedly trust You, love You
We’re on fire for You now & forever, O Lord. You are sovereign & are high above the murmurings of the people & above all power & principality in heaven and on earth. You’re generous, O God, You’ve told us what You’re doing, You guide us.
You’re the fountain of life & we are expectantly hopeful.
“In the way of righteousness is life, and in its pathway there is no death.” Proverbs 12:28
“…For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.” Matthew 6:13
“The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.”
Jesus to Nicodemus in John 3:8
“Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.”
2 Corinthians 3:17
“Immediately the Spirit drove Him into the wilderness.” Mark 1:12
“Immediately I was in the Spirit; and behold, a throne set in heaven, and One sat on the throne.”
“It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.” John 6:36, Jesus to His disciples
“…His word was in my heart like a burning fire shut up in my bones; I was weary of holding it back, and I could not.” Joshua 20:9
“I will sing to the Lord as long as I live; I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.” Psalm 104:33
“To the end that my glory may sing praise to You and not be silent. O Lord My God, I will give thanks to You forever.” Psalm 30:12
“All the earth shall worship You and sing praises to Your name. Selah” Psalm 66:4
Dear Lord God, thank You for Your Holy Spirit, forever and ever we praise and glorify You, in Your presence is fullness of joy. And thank You Father, for our great country built on You and Your law, in freedom of Your Spirit. Amen.
Heard this in my spirit when contemplating some circumstances.
Jesus says, “this kind goes out only by prayer & fasting.” (Matt 17:21)
Do you try to look beyond circumstances? Because in the Spirit God’s doing far greater things than the part of the picture we see (1 Corinthians 13:12).
My Utmost for His Highest, October 3rd, “When you are brought face to face with a difficult situation and nothing happens externally, you can still know that freedom and release will be given because of your continued concentration on Jesus Christ…face it and get through it into the presence of Jesus Christ. Then that very problem itself, and all that you have been through in connection with it, will glorify Jesus Christ in a way that you will never know until you see Him face to face.”
***Please ask your Pastor before beginning a fast***
My former church proclaimed corporate fasts for the new year and other special occasions.
Recently, the Lord led me to fasting and praying on Saturdays. Usually it’s sporadic lasting one to three days. I drink tea in the morning, then water during the day and whenever the hunger pangs arise. Reading the Word and devotionals, singing worship songs and praying, going about the day.
James 4:8 (NKJV), “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
Matthew 6:16-18, Jesus says, “When you fast…”
Isaiah 58, “…is this not the fast that I have chosen:…to let the oppressed go free…”
Deuteronomy 5:6, “I am the LORD your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.”
This verse knocked my socks off when it was preached a few weeks ago, it has many implications. God’s freed us from all types of bondage. Gulp, He did it. Thank You Daddy God. Freed us from darkness, from being a slave to sin.
Genesis 18:14 (KJV), “Is any thing too hard for the Lord? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.”
Galatians 5:1 (NIV), “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.”
Isaiah 61:1 (NIV), “The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners.”
but it frees from what really is destroying you. “The truth will make you free,” Jesus says in John 8:32. Let His truth penetrate you.
I asked God to take the desire for alcohol from me, the need to escape. He did, He lifted the oppression off and I was and am free from it.
God is my Deliverer. I only had to ask for Him to remove the desire. Before this, I denied having a problem. Though I didn’t hide it from others, the reason I drank was controlling me. Addiction has a way of making its own sin in other areas of your life.
Thank You, Jesus.
You also healed my addiction to a t.v. show about the same time. I knew it was wrong & it didn’t glorify You.
“They promise freedom, but they themselves are slaves of sin and corruption. For you are a slave to whatever controls you.” 2 Peter 2:19 (NLT).
“I, the LORD, have called you in righteousness; I will take hold of your hand. I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people and a light for the Gentiles, to open eyes that are blind, to free captives from prison and to release from the dungeon those who sit in darkness.” Isaiah 42:6-7 (NIV).
“The Spirit of the Lord is on Me, because He has anointed Me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent Me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.” reads Jesus in Luke 4:19 (NIV).
“The truth shall set you free” says Jesus in John 8:32. “Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.” Jesus says in John 8:36 (NKJV).
Galatians 2:20 (KJV), ” I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
James 1:25 (NIV), “But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do.”
“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, because the Lord has anointed Me to preach good tidings to the meek; He has sent Me to bind up the brokenhearted; to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound” Isaiah 61:1
You are on your throne, but You see us and hear us. You dwell with us as You say You do. You are sorrowful for all the pain we feel. You’re with us through our pain and in our joy in this life and in eternal life.
Please comfort the hurting in Las Vegas right now. Give strength for the emergency workers, law enforcement and the medical staffs, dear Lord. Please provide Your peace for all the hurting and all those who lost family members and friends. You don’t want anyone to perish, but You want all to come to You.
Where can we go and be safe? Not even on a concert lawn? People enjoying the freedom this country prides itself in, are killed. It’s not fair. Dear Lord, please help us.
