God, You decorated

“The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows His handiwork.” Psalm 19:1

“…In Whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.”  Col 2:3

“Then God said, ‘Let the waters abound with abundance of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the face of the firmament of the heavens.” Gen 1:20

God, You’re beautiful to having created all of these things.

“Jesus is Your Husband”

A friend said: and the one who abused you was never your husband.

For your Maker is your husband,
The Lord of hosts is His name;
And your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel;
He is called the God of the whole earth.”

Isaiah 54:5

“Therefore, behold, I will allure her,
Will bring her into the wilderness,
And speak comfort to her.”

Hosea 2:14

“Mary!”

Jesus called in John 20:16

“Watch the Weight”

Thanks, Guys, for all the referrals, likes and love. You’re in my prayers!

A friend would whisper this at our work’s salad bar, it’s easy to go beyond a pound with all those delicious salad creations.

“Here is what I have seen:

It is good and fitting for one to eat and drink, and to enjoy the good of all his labor in which he toils under the sun all the days of his life which God gives him; for it is his heritage.”                 Solomon teaches in Ecclesiastes 5:18

After coming off the Daniel Fast several years ago, I clung to whole foods without a lot of preservatives and healthy fats: olive oil, nuts, fish, cheese, milk, yogurt, meats, fruits and dried dates. Whenever I remove sugar from my diet, other foods seem to taste a lot better.  Always check with your nutritionist when making a change.

You’re Cut Off

Prophetic dream: I step into an elevator, where a gray-haired, tired looking couple are standing. The elevator keeps going up and down, I look at the control panel and no floor numbers are lit.  I state to the couple, “you’re cut off!” and choose a floor number.

This reminds me of ‘taking a ride’ spiritually and going after God’s gifts, but not submitting to Him the Person.

“For evildoers shall be cut off; but those who wait on the Lord, they shall inherit the earth.” Psalm 37:9

May 30th, Oswald Chambers:

“Suppose God tells you to do something that is an enormous test of your common sense, totally going against it. What will you do? … Again and again you will come right up to what Jesus wants, but every time you will turn back at the true point of testing, until you are determined to abandon yourself to God in total surrender.”

Scared Sane

We have the mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:16).

Ever get the ‘sick sense’ the person you’re speaking with is not right in the head? Back away slowly.  Remember ‘Scared Straight,’ when criminals spoke to young men to direct them away from a life of crime? Remind your children who they are in Christ and not to be influenced by unbelievers and fools.

“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 2:1 (KJV)

Lightning Bolt

“Let them shout for joy and be glad, who favor my righteous cause; and let them say continually,

“Let the Lord be magnified, Who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.”

Psalm 35:27

“Then the temple of God was opened in heaven, and the ark of His covenant was seen in His temple. And there were lightnings, noises, thunderings, and earthquake, and great hail.”                                                             Revelation 11:19

Dear Heavenly Father, nothing is beyond Your reach or Your eyes.  You know all that’s going to happen.  We want to learn more about You, be near You and follow You, in Jesus’ name. Hallelujah!

“The fear of the Lord is the instruction of wisdom, and before honor is humility.”                  Proverbs 15:33

God’s Best

“For the ways of man are before the eyes of the Lord, and He ponders all his paths.

“His own iniquities entrap the wicked man, and he is caught in the cords of his sin.

“He shall die for lack of instruction, and in the greatness of his folly he shall go astray.”

Proverbs 5:21-23

“My son, pay attention to my wisdom; lend your ear to my understanding. That you may preserve discretion, and your lips may keep knowledge.”                               Proverbs 5:1-2

A Pastor friend gave advice, saying what’s ‘best’ to do.  They say God’s best is contrary to the world’s good.

“The best is yet to come,” heard in my spirit.

Shield of Favor

“For thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.” Psalm 5:12 KJV

In the morning singing, ‘You surround me with a shield of favor,’ then all day, people were being generous to me; allowed in line before a man, my dress complimented as I crossed the street, a friend doing a favor, hearing that another friend is okay – not lost, but moved out of the area. People were ‘passing it forward’ into the night.

It’s all Yours, God!  The food, clothing, shelter, transportation; meanwhile, the air and even ourselves.

The Unjust Steward

“And so I say to you make friends for yourselves by unrighteous mammon, that when you fail, they may receive you into an everlasting home.” Luke 16:9

This literally happened where a woman lost her job/apartment, but immediately moved in with a friend whom she’d helped previously.

Jesus in Luke 16: “He also said to His disciples:

‘There was a certain rich man who had a steward, and an accusation was brought to him that this man was wasting his goods.”

“So he called him and said to him, ‘What is this I hear about you? Give an account of your stewardship, for you can no longer be steward.” Luke 16:1-2

“Then the steward said within himself, ‘What shall I do? … I cannot dig; I am ashamed to beg. I have resolved what to do, that when I am put out of the stewardship, they may receive me into their houses.'” Luke 16:3-4

“Then he said to another, ‘And how much do you owe?’ So he said, ‘one hundred measures of wheat.’ And he said to him, ‘Take your bill and write eighty.’ So the master commended the unjust steward because he had dealt shrewdly. For the sons of this world are more shrewd than the sons of Light.” Luke 16:7-8

“And so I say to you make friends for yourselves by unrighteous mammon, that when you fail, they may receive you into an everlasting home.” Luke 16:9

Learned So Much

“Before I was afflicted I went astray, but now I obey your word.” Psalm 119:67 (KJV)

A friend said he was glad he had been sick because he learned so much about healthy eating and eating according to one’s bloodtype. It’s great to feel some power and sense of achievement in gaining strength, overcoming an illness. Also, when God helps us. And there’s that proverbial silver lining you can find in any cloud.

Oswald Chambers, “My Utmost” August 20th: “It’s the sick person who really knows what health is.”
