“Lift up your heads, O you gates! And be lifted up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, The Lord mighty in battle.Lift up your heads, O you gates! Lift up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, He is the King of glory. Selah”
I’m not gonna worship money, I’m gonna worship You, my God and King!
“You are my King and my God,who decrees victories for Jacob.”
Psalm 44:4 (NIV)
“And after eight days His disciples were again inside, and Thomas with them. Jesus came, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said,‘Peace to you!’27 Then He said to Thomas, ‘Reach your finger here, and look at My hands; andreach your hand here, and put it into My side. Do not beunbelieving, but believing.’ And Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God!” John 20:26-28
“Pride goes before destruction, And a haughty spirit before a fall.” Proverbs 16:18
As soon as I say “I’m humble,” I bumble.
Oswald Chambers, November 24th, My Utmost for His Highest:
“Well, I suppose I was expecting too much.” That sounds humble to say, but it means that your reliance on God is gone, and you are now relying on worldly opinion. The danger comes when, no longer relying on God, you neglect to focus your eyes on Him. Only when God brings you to a sudden stop will you realize that you have been the loser. Whenever there is a spiritual drain in your life, correct it immediately. Realize that something has been coming between you and God, and change or remove it at once.
“But when you are invited, go and sit down in the lowest place, so that when he who invited you comes he may say to you, ‘Friend, go up higher.’ Then you will have glory in the presence of those who sit at the table with you.”
Thanks, Guys, for all the referrals, likes and love. You’re in my prayers!
A friend would whisper this at our work’s salad bar, it’s easy to go beyond a pound with all those delicious salad creations.
“Here is what I have seen:
It is good and fitting for one to eat and drink, and to enjoy the good of all his labor in which he toils under the sun all the days of his life which God gives him; for it is his heritage.” Solomon teaches in Ecclesiastes 5:18
After coming off the Daniel Fast several years ago, I clung to whole foods without a lot of preservatives and healthy fats: olive oil, nuts, fish, cheese, milk, yogurt, meats, fruits and dried dates. Whenever I remove sugar from my diet, other foods seem to taste a lot better. Always check with your nutritionist when making a change.
Prophetic dream: I step into an elevator, where a gray-haired, tired looking couple are standing. The elevator keeps going up and down, I look at the control panel and no floor numbers are lit. I state to the couple, “you’re cut off!” and choose a floor number.
This reminds me of ‘taking a ride’ spiritually and going after God’s gifts, but not submitting to Him the Person.
“For evildoers shall be cut off; but those who wait on the Lord, they shall inherit the earth.” Psalm 37:9
May 30th, Oswald Chambers:
“Suppose God tells you to do something that is an enormous test of your common sense, totally going against it. What will you do? … Again and again you will come right up to what Jesus wants, but every time you will turn back at the true point of testing, until you are determined to abandon yourself to God in total surrender.”
Ever get the ‘sick sense’ the person you’re speaking with is not right in the head? Back away slowly. Remember ‘Scared Straight,’ when criminals spoke to young men to direct them away from a life of crime? Remind your children who they are in Christ and not to be influenced by unbelievers and fools.
“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 2:1 (KJV)
