“Blessed is he who considers the poor; the Lord will deliver him in time of trouble.
The Lord will preserve him and keep him alive, And he will be blessed on the earth; You will not deliver him to the will of his enemies. The Lord will strengthen him on his bed of illness; You will sustain him on his sickbed.” Psalm 41:1-3
“For you have the poor with you always, and whenever you wish you may do them good; but Me you do not have always.” Says Jesus in Mark 14:7
My son always said, it’s not whether the man holding the cup for change is right or wrong, it’s what you do about him.
Heavenly Father, Who watches all our hearts, help us see the needy with Your eyes and do what’s right, and not treat others with criticism or contempt, in Jesus’ name.
Prophetic dream: I step into an elevator, where a gray-haired, tired looking couple are standing. The elevator keeps going up and down, I look at the control panel and no floor numbers are lit. I state to the couple, “you’re cut off!” and choose a floor number.
This reminds me of ‘taking a ride’ spiritually and going after God’s gifts, but not submitting to Him the Person.
“For evildoers shall be cut off; but those who wait on the Lord, they shall inherit the earth.” Psalm 37:9
May 30th, Oswald Chambers:
“Suppose God tells you to do something that is an enormous test of your common sense, totally going against it. What will you do? … Again and again you will come right up to what Jesus wants, but every time you will turn back at the true point of testing, until you are determined to abandon yourself to God in total surrender.”

“A man’s steps are of the Lord; how then can a man understand his own way?” Proverbs 20:24.
Do you ever hear the Lord through other people? And not directly from Him? A ministry couple finally received all the many hints that they were to lead a church again. They were totally satisfied serving Him in other ways and believed that’s what God wanted of them.
“For You, Lord, have made me glad through Your work; I will triumph in the works of Your hands.” Psalm 92:4
