Go To A Funeral – Prophecy

My friend received this word from the Lord:

“Go to a funeral, rather than an amusement park.”

Huh? Why would God say this? Are we called to go where Jesus’ Presence is and not be distracted from His calling?

Luke 7:11-16 (BibleGateway):

Now it happened, the day after, that He went into a city called Nain; and many of His disciples went with Him, and a large crowd. 12 And when He came near the gate of the city, behold, a dead man was being carried out, the only son of his mother; and she was a widow. And a large crowd from the city was with her. 13 When the Lord saw her, He had compassion on her and said to her, “Do not weep.” 14 Then He came and touched the open coffin, and those who carried him stood still. And He said, “Young man, I say to you, arise.” 15 So he who was dead sat up and began to speak. And He presented him to his mother.

16 Then fear came upon all, and they glorified God, saying, “A great prophet has risen up among us”; and, “God has visited His people.”

The Real Thing

“Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” Jesus says in John 14:27

““I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser.” John 15:1

“Then Jesus said to them again, ‘Most assuredly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep.'” John 10:7

“For the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath.”  Matthew 12:8

It’s Who Ya Know

And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.”                           Jesus praying in John 17:3

“That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death,”              Philippians 3:10

Jesus Tested Philip

“Then Jesus lifted up His eyes, and seeing a great multitude coming toward Him, He said to Philip, ‘Where shall we buy bread, that these may eat?’But this He said to test him, for He Himself knew what He would do.”                   John 6:5-6

John 14

Vs. 9, “Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?”

Vs. 11, “Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves.”

Will Jesus test us too?

Acts 8

Vs. 26, “Now an angel of the Lord spoke to Philip, saying, “Arise and go toward the south along the road which goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza.” This is desert.”

Vs. 35, “Then Philip opened his mouth, and beginning at this Scripture, preached Jesus to him.”

“Oh, let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end, But establish the just; For the righteous God tests the hearts and minds.”   Psalm 7:9

You’re Perfect

“And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” Paul in 2 Corinthians 12:9

If you feel unworthy to be used of God, a failure, then you’re just right for God.

But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, that no flesh should glory in His presence.” 1 Corinthians 1:27-29

“Jesus is Your Husband”

A friend said: and the one who abused you was never your husband.

For your Maker is your husband,
The Lord of hosts is His name;
And your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel;
He is called the God of the whole earth.”

Isaiah 54:5

“Therefore, behold, I will allure her,
Will bring her into the wilderness,
And speak comfort to her.”

Hosea 2:14

“Mary!”

Jesus called in John 20:16
