One This Rock I Build My Church

And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.”

Jesus speaking to Peter in Matthew 16:18 (NKJV)

Thank You, Father God, You rock! You gave me a divine appointment to witness to this boy and his mom about who he is in You, O Lord, with this verse. You get all the glory, Lord, we just get to watch. From You are all things and to You are all things, You deserve the glory.

The Lord Avenges

Finally then, brethren, we urge and exhort in the Lord Jesus that you should abound more and more, just as you received from us how you ought to walk and to please God; for you know what commandments we gave you through the Lord Jesus.

For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you should abstain from sexual immorality; that each of you should know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor, not in passion of lust, like the Gentiles who do not know God; that no one should take advantage of and defraud his brother in this matter, because the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also forewarned you and testified. For God did not call us to uncleanness, but in holiness. Therefore he who rejects this does not reject man, but God, who has also given us His Holy Spirit.” 1 Thessalonians 4:1-8

“Behold, all those who were incensed against you
Shall be ashamed and disgraced;
They shall be as nothing,
And those who strive with you shall perish.” Isaiah 41:11

Praise You Father God! You always have our backs.  Thank You that even when liars are at the door, You’ll make our paths straight who follow and obey You.

God’s Rebuke

Proverbs 1:23, (NKJV), “Turn at my rebuke; Surely I will pour out my spirit on you; I will make my words known to you.”

Psalm 104:7, “At Your rebuke they fled; At the voice of Your thunder they hastened away.”

Thank You for lovingly teaching us, Father. Let us worship and glorify You by hearing and obeying You.

“My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord,
Nor detest His correction;
For whom the Lord loves He corrects,
Just as a father the son in whom he delights.” Prov 3:11-12

Psalm 73:

Verse 17, “Until I went into the sanctuary of God; Then I understood their end.”

Verses 23-24, “Nevertheless I am continually with You; You hold me by my right hand. You will guide me with Your counsel, And afterward receive me to glory.”

Verse 28, “But it is good for me to draw near to God; I have put my trust in the Lord GodThat I may declare all Your works.”
