You have compassion, like the cotton in a pill bottle, it keeps the pills from being harmed.
People want more of that.
Jesus washing the disciples’ feet (John 13:3-17)
God’s servants (Matt 20:25-28)
Compassion (Matt 18:27, 33)
Shortness of time (Matt 25:13, Revelation 22:12)
Praise God, above is part of a prophecy given to me last month. I can stay focused on God and His word, look for ways to serve others and communicate God’s love to them. People want Jesus not us, but we who’ve been with Him, reflect His compassion.
Heard this in my spirit when contemplating some circumstances.
Jesus says, “this kind goes out only by prayer & fasting.” (Matt 17:21)
Do you try to look beyond circumstances? Because in the Spirit God’s doing far greater things than the part of the picture we see (1 Corinthians 13:12).
My Utmost for His Highest, October 3rd, “When you are brought face to face with a difficult situation and nothing happens externally, you can still know that freedom and release will be given because of your continued concentration on Jesus Christ…face it and get through it into the presence of Jesus Christ. Then that very problem itself, and all that you have been through in connection with it, will glorify Jesus Christ in a way that you will never know until you see Him face to face.”
***Please ask your Pastor before beginning a fast***
My former church proclaimed corporate fasts for the new year and other special occasions.
Recently, the Lord led me to fasting and praying on Saturdays. Usually it’s sporadic lasting one to three days. I drink tea in the morning, then water during the day and whenever the hunger pangs arise. Reading the Word and devotionals, singing worship songs and praying, going about the day.
James 4:8 (NKJV), “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
Matthew 6:16-18, Jesus says, “When you fast…”
Isaiah 58, “…is this not the fast that I have chosen:…to let the oppressed go free…”
The Lord spoke this to me while waiting for prayer at a service. It hadn’t occurred to me yet, because I was focusing on forgiving the other person.
“Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.”
Ephesians 4:29-32 (NKJV)
“Love your neighbor as yourself,” says Jesus, Mark 12:31
“Submitting to one another in the fear of God.” Ephesians 5:21
A song sung during an Alaskan mission trip at the park. It encouraged me because all the other singers performed secular music and I was so far from home and felt lonely, even though I was amongst other believers.
“God made everything with a place and purpose; even the wicked are included – but for judgment.” Proverbs 16:4 (The Message).
“For in Him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through Him and for Him.” Colossians 1:16 (NIV).
I will extol You, my God, O King; And I will bless Your name forever and ever. Every day I will bless You, And I will praise Your name forever and ever. Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; And His greatness is unsearchable.
One generation shall praise Your works to another, And shall declare Your mighty acts. I will meditate on the glorious splendor of Your majesty, And on Your wondrous works. Men shall speak of the might of Your awesome acts, And I will declare Your greatness. They shall utter the memory of Your great goodness, And shall sing of Your righteousness.
The Lordis gracious and full of compassion, Slow to anger and great in mercy. The Lordis good to all, And His tender mercies are over all His works.
All Your works shall praise You, O Lord, And Your saints shall bless You. They shall speak of the glory of Your kingdom, And talk of Your power, To make known to the sons of men His mighty acts, And the glorious majesty of His kingdom. Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, And Your dominion endures throughout all generations.
The Lord upholds all who fall, And raises up all who are bowed down. The eyes of all look expectantly to You, And You give them their food in due season. You open Your hand And satisfy the desire of every living thing.
The Lordis righteous in all His ways, Gracious in all His works. The Lordis near to all who call upon Him, To all who call upon Him in truth. He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He also will hear their cry and save them. The Lord preserves all who love Him, But all the wicked He will destroy. My mouth shall speak the praise of the Lord, And all flesh shall bless His holy nameForever and ever.
Step up, clear your calendars, clear the air. Give the Lord, Who is worthy, your praise, your time, the honor due Him. Make room for Him. He will anoint you to preach the Gospel.
“A noise will come to the ends of the earth – for the Lord has a controversy with the nations; He will plead His case with all flesh. He will give those who are wicked to the sword,’ says the Lord.” Jeremiah 25:31 (NKJV).
“You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over.” Psalm 23:5 (NKJV).
The Lord had been speaking to me to request Sundays off work so that I can worship God with my new husband. It began as a desire and I tossed it around with others saying it’s not just me that matters and I want to be there for him.
Then last week, the Lord prompted me to really call the Manager. I felt tense and reluctant, bracing for their pushback. Finally, close to the end of the day I called, the Holy Spirit facilitating my tactful request. The answer was acquiesced kindly.
Isaiah 54:17 (NKJV):
“No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the Lord”
“God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” says Jesus in John 4:24 (NKJV).
The Lord spoke those words one morning, as a friend gave me directions to the cemetery where we planned to do lawn maintenance. Surprisingly, it had taken exactly 30 minutes to get there. The Lord’s words aren’t always for the exact day that you hear them.
Last week, K-Love Radio told about a study noting the average person has 32 minutes of downtime per day and asking the audience how they spend their free time. The same day, Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) showed an article where a married couple uses 30 minutes a day to pray together.
Hallelujah, Lord God, open our ears, help us to quiet our thoughts and be receptive to Your words, O Lord, for all Your planting is good. Near or far, all Your words have life and purpose, help us to trust You always. In Jesus’ name.
Relationships come in packages of potential, not perfection, according to author Lisa Terkeurst.
Pastor Derek Prince said, God allowed Adam to feel the lack so he could appreciate Eve. God provided Eve to Adam.
Steve Harvey said when you make a mistake, admit it, own up to it, and get past it. That’s how you grow.
Holy Spirit: he has to work through it, he’ll come around.
Proverbs 17:17, a friend loves at all times.
Luke 6:31, Jesus said, do unto others as you would have them do to you.
Colossians 3:13-14, “Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.”
James 5:16, “Confess your sins to one another and pray for each other”
The manager who called us out in the field only to complain or say something negative would sometimes get a click in his ear. This hanging up was addressed at the meeting when my co-worker stated the above sentiment.
Same for Satan, who’s up to his old tricks.
“Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.”
Lord, You’re always good, always true, I magnify Your name and personality in my life! I love Your word! Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path (Ps 119-105). So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom (Ps 90:12).
