“30 Minutes”

The Lord spoke those words one morning, as a friend gave me directions to the cemetery where we planned to do lawn maintenance.  Surprisingly, it had taken exactly 30 minutes to get there.  The Lord’s words aren’t always for the exact day that you hear them.

Last week, K-Love Radio told about a study noting the average person has 32 minutes of downtime per day and asking the audience how they spend their free time.  The same day, Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) showed an article where a married couple uses 30 minutes a day to pray together.

Hallelujah, Lord God, open our ears, help us to quiet our thoughts and be receptive to Your words, O Lord, for all Your planting is good. Near or far, all Your words have life and purpose, help us to trust You always. In Jesus’ name.

Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass … Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him.—Psalm 37:4,7 (see Guidepost.org: https://www.guideposts.org/faith-and-prayer/bible-resources/quiet-your-mind-with-hope-and-faith).

Relationships come in packages of potential, not perfection, according to author Lisa Terkeurst.

Pastor Derek Prince said, God allowed Adam to feel the lack so he could appreciate Eve.  God provided Eve to Adam.

Steve Harvey said when you make a mistake, admit it, own up to it, and get past it.  That’s how you grow.

Holy Spirit: he has to work through it, he’ll come around.

Proverbs 17:17, a friend loves at all times.

Luke 6:31, Jesus said, do unto others as you would have them do to you.

Colossians 3:13-14, “Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.  And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.”

James 5:16, “Confess your sins to one another and pray for each other”

I Ain’t Got Time For That

The manager who called us out in the field only to complain or say something negative would sometimes get a click in his ear.  This hanging up was addressed at the meeting when my co-worker stated the above sentiment.

Same for Satan, who’s up to his old tricks.

“Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.”

Lord, You’re always good, always true, I magnify Your name and personality in my life! I love Your word! Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path (Ps 119-105). So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom (Ps 90:12).

is scary.  Letting loose.  We don’t know what we’ll be like.

“Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when He shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as He is,” 1 John 3:2.

“But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart.  Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away,” 2 Corinthians 3:15-16.

“Where the Spirit for the Lord is, there is Liberty,” 2 Corinthians 3:17.

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9, (NIV).

“And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus,”  Philippians 4:7. (Thank you, Friend)

“The fundamental fact of existence is that this trust in God, this faith, is the firm foundation under everything that makes life worth living. It’s our handle on what we can’t see. The act of faith is what distinguished our ancestors, set them above the crowd.” Hebrews 11:1 (The Message).

Hosea 12:5-6, “Even the Lord God of hosts; the Lord is his memorial.  Therefore turn you to your God; keep mercy & judgment, and wait on your God continually.”

Heard again this weekend: “God’s timing is perfect!” Thank You Father God for trusting in You is my reward.  Amen

What are you waiting on God for?

Psm 37:34 (NIV) Hope in the LORD and keep his way. He will exalt you to inherit the land; when the wicked are destroyed, you will see it.
Psalm 27:14, (NIV) “Wait for the Lord;
    be strong and take heart
    and wait for the Lord.

“Final Days”

read the sign indicating the store closing for business.  That morning in my dream it was 11:45 pm – a quarter to 12!  Last days before the Christ comes again.

Get your ducks in a row and make amends, most importantly decide Who you’ll follow: everlasting God or the world.

John 17:3, “And this is life eternal, that they might know You the only true God, and Jesus Christ, Whom You’ve sent.”

Joshua 24:14-“Now therefore fear the Lord, and serve Him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the Lord And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

Isaiah 40:28, “Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom.”

The Right Time

“Whatever time we get there will be the right time,” I said not knowing what I was saying.  We did arrive in good time though for the conference after a late start on the two hour drive.  We were welcomed by friends, had glorious worship and gave generous tithes.  Embraced by friends not seen in a year.

Dear Lord Father, thank You for directing us that and every night.  Trusting in You is the best decision I ever made.  When I dwell on You, I’m overwhelmed again.

“According to the word that I covenanted with you when you came out of Egypt, so My Spirit remains among you; do not fear!” Haggai 2:5

Simple Life

She prays to be debt free, to spend more time with her family, to not always be striving for something.  For this young widow to have a simple life.

God will honor that prayer.

Jesus says, in Matthew 6:22, “The light of the body is the eye: if therefore your eye be single, your whole body shall be full of light.”  Some Bible versions use healthy, good, clear, sincere, sound and perfect for the word single.

He won’t withhold anything good from you.  Psalm 84:11, says, “For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless.”

Jesus says, in Matthew 7:7 (NIV), “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.”

And, John 14:13 (Good News Translation), “And I will do whatever you ask for in My name, so that the Father’s glory will be shown through the Son.”

And Psalm 37:4, (Good news Translation) reads, “Seek your happiness in the LORD, and He will give you your heart’s desire.”

4 AM

Awake… and asked God for some encouragement as I clicked on fb, not really believing I’d find it…

Posts from friends, encouraging, wisdom, gospel truths, Word of Life.

He’s awake – He’s there, He never sleeps and the darkness & light are alike to Him (Psm 121:4 and 139:12).

Ruth Graham Lotz says sometimes the middle of the night is the only time He can get your attention.  So sing, pray, glorify Him in your secret place.  Proclaim the Word aloud, “Our Father Who are in heaven,” “The Lord is my Shepherd.”

A season of waking at 3 am many years ago.  It was prophesied over me that “the Lord is brooding over you,” so ask Him, “Lord, what would You have me do in this situation?”
