New Wineskins

No one sews a patch of unshrunk cloth on an old garment. Otherwise, the new piece will pull away from the old, making the tear worse. 22 And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. Otherwise, the wine will burst the skins, and both the wine and the wineskins will be ruined. No, they pour new wine into new wineskins.”

Jesus in Mark 2:21-22 (NIV) BibleGateway

“So God, who knows the heart, acknowledged them by giving them the Holy Spirit, just as He did to us, and made no distinction between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.”    Peter in Acts 15:8-9

“For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but a new creation.”  Galatians 6:15

Joel 2:24, “The threshing floors shall be full of wheat, and the vats shall overflow with new wine and oil.”

Holy Spirit is talking to many Pastors, including John Arnott, about new wineskins!

Mercy on the Needy

“Whoever oppresses the poor shows contempt for their Maker, but whoever is kind to the needy honors God.” Proverbs 14:31 (NIV)

“The poor and needy seek water, but there is none, Their tongues fail for thirst. I, the LORD, will hear them; I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them.” Isaiah 41:17 (NKJV)

Ben Carson quoted Prov 14:31 on tv! Speaking about FYI Foster Youth Initiative. Amen.

Yes, Lord, raise up our politicians and leaders to honor and glorify You

Jesus the Vine

“I am the vine, you are the branches…

“You can do nothing without Me”  Jesus in John 15:5

Business practices actually promote using ‘the grapevine” to find out information and further business.

We’re are in the world, not of it.  Let us churches curtail gossip, refuse to hear it.  It takes a strong person and godly leaders.

Remember, we are to imitate Christ, not the world.

“You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their high officials exercise authority over them”.  Matthew 20:25 (NIV)

Fathers

“For the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me, and have believed that I came forth from God.”                                                                     John 16:27

“As a father pities his children,
So the Lord pities those who fear Him.”       Psalm 103:13

Dear Lord Daddy, restore the men to be men, responsible, leaders, speaking life to their wives and children.  Make them the priests in their families of which You are the Head, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

When Someone Steals From You

There’s more than one easy answer!

Jesus says: “Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.” in Matthew 7:12

“Then Peter came to Him and said, ‘Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?’   Jesus said to him, ‘I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.’ ” Matthew 18:21-22

“People do not despise a thief if he steals to satisfy himself when he is starving. Yet when he is found, he must restore sevenfold; he may have to give up all the substance of his house.”  Proverbs 6:30-31

Exodus 22:4, “If the theft is certainly found alive in his hand, whether it is an ox or donkey or sheep, he shall restore double.”

Moses Was Very Humble

“(Now the man Moses was very humble, more than all men who were on the face of the earth.)”                                                         Numbers 12:3

From “Don’t Give Up,” Derek Prince: Moses was the most powerful person on the earth behind Jesus.  He waited 40 years tending sheep.  We also need to cultivate meekness. The key to promotion in the Kingdom is to abase yourself.

“Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.”                                                            Matthew 11:29 (KJV)

Do Your Part

For we know in part and we prophesy in part. 10 But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away.

1 Corinthians 13:9-10

Be part of God’s plan.

“Bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do.

“But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.

“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the LORD. And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the LORD JESUS, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.”

Colossians 3:13-17

“Let It Be Dark?”

“Isn’t it supposed to be, ‘Let there be light?’ Don’t be so negative.” a friend quipped back to a minister.

And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed.”

John 3:19-20

A Bible teacher said it’s time now for the Bride to make ready for Christ’s second coming. Stay focused on the Lord. And let go of those who are perishing.

“For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light.”                                                                            Ephesians 5:8

“Above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.”                       Ephesians 6:16

Tried & True Faith

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

“Now to our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.”

Philippians 4:13, 20

“As for God, His way is perfect; The word of the LORD is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him.”                                      Psalm 18:30 (KJV)

God’s permissive will is the testing He uses to reveal His true sons & daughters…Put up a glorious fight and you will find yourself empowered with His strength.”

Oswald Chambers, Dec 16th, My Utmost.
