Zechariah 2 (NKJV)

Then I raised my eyes and looked, and behold, a man with a measuring line in his hand. So I said, “Where are you going?”

And he said to me, “To measure Jerusalem, to see what is its width and what is its length.”

And there was the angel who talked with me, going out; and another angel was coming out to meet him, who said to him, “Run, speak to this young man, saying: ‘Jerusalem shall be inhabited as towns without walls, because of the multitude of men and livestock in it. For I,’ says the Lord, ‘will be a wall of fire all around her, and I will be the glory in her midst.’ ”

“Up, up! Flee from the land of the north,” says the Lord; “for I have spread you abroad like the four winds of heaven,” says the Lord. “Up, Zion! Escape, you who dwell with the daughter of Babylon.”

“For thus says the Lord of hosts: “He sent Me after glory, to the nations which plunder you; for he who touches you touches the apple of His eye. For surely I will shake My hand against them, and they shall become spoil for their servants. Then you will know that the Lord of hosts has sent Me.

“Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion! For behold, I am coming and I will dwell in your midst,” says the Lord. “Many nations shall be joined to the Lord in that day, and they shall become My people. And I will dwell in your midst. Then you will know that the Lord of hosts has sent Me to you.  And the Lord will take possession of Judah as His inheritance in the Holy Land, and will again choose Jerusalem. Be silent, all flesh, before the Lord, for He is aroused from His holy habitation!”

Song Bird

“Caring is very important to the Lord,” a friend said.

My husband fills the bird feeder regularly and today began putting some seed under the deck for the Chickadees.  Suddenly, 3 Mourning Doves came under the deck and under the feeder.  Perhaps for future mating?

Heard “Songbird” in my spirit several times that day while remembering how lovingly he does call & care for me.

Matthew 6:26 (NKJV), “Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?” said Jesus

Young Men – Young Women

“We need young men, young women with the wisdom of God” said Ravi Zacharias.

Dear Lord, raise up the youth to have hearts like Yours.  People cry out for more goodness in the world, when all goodness comes from You, O God.  Touch and anoint our youth to be holy and walk with You, Leaders filled with wisdom and integrity.

“You tested my heart” Jeremiah 12:3

A high school student found my diamond ring in the gym locker room before going to school and returned it to the front desk.  Hallelujah glory to You, Lord!

That night in the restaurant parking lot I saw a bracelet next to the car.  We gave it to the host who said it probably belonged to one of the teens who were in earlier.

Genesis 1:27, “So God created mankind in his own image,
    in the image of God he created them;
male and female he created them.

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” Romans 12:1-2 (NKJV).

1 Samuel 17:33, “And Saul said to David, “You are not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him; for you are a youth, and he a man of war from his youth.”

1 Samuel 17:46, “This day the Lord will deliver you into my hand, and I will strike you and take your head from you. And this day I will give the carcasses of the camp of the Philistines to the birds of the air and the wild beasts of the earth, that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel.”

Luke 1:38, “Then Mary said, “Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word.” And the angel departed from her.”

Esther 4:14 (NIV), “For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?”

Jeremiah 1:5, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”

Sweeten The Pot

And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore the name of it was called Marah.

“And the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drink?

“And he cried unto the Lord; and the Lord shewed him a tree, which when he had cast into the waters, the waters were made sweet: there he made for them a statute and an ordinance, and there he proved them,

And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, and wilt do that which is right in His sight, and wilt give ear to His commandments, and keep all His statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the Lord that healeth thee.”                                  Exodus 15:23-26 (KJV)

This saying came to my spirit throughout our courtship last year. Can I liken the marriage to the sweetened waters of Moses’ time?

God’s no respecter of  persons.  What He says to one He reveals to you, too, His children.  He’ll do it again.

You Have A Big Mouth

When the dental hygienist said this to me the other week, I’d heard it before.  She meant for a small person, I have normal size teeth and amazingly still retain all but one.

Several years ago, a friend ‘saw’ my mouth in a vision, much larger, opening and closing.  She said laughing, “you’re going to speak for the Lord.”

“For when I preach the gospel, I cannot boast, since I am compelled to preach. Woe to me if I do not preach the gospel!” 1 Corinthians 9:16 (NIV).

“Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
Be acceptable in Your sight,
O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer.” Psalm 19:14 (NKJV).

“If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.” 1 Peter 4:11 (KJV).

Sunday Worship

The Lord had been speaking to me to request Sundays off work so that I can worship God with my new husband.  It began as a desire and I tossed it around with others saying it’s not just me that matters and I want to be there for him.

Then last week, the Lord prompted me to really call the Manager. I felt tense and reluctant, bracing for their pushback.  Finally, close to the end of the day I called, the Holy Spirit facilitating my tactful request.  The answer was acquiesced kindly.

Isaiah 54:17 (NKJV):

“No weapon formed against you shall prosper,
And every tongue which rises against you in judgment
You shall condemn.
This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord,
And their righteousness is from Me,”
Says the Lord”

God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” says Jesus in John 4:24 (NKJV).

Glorify My Name

Jesus said:

I have glorified You on the earth.  I have finished the work which You have given Me to do.” to our Father in John 17:4 (NKJV).

By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit, so you will be My disciples,” to His disciples in John 15:8.

I heard this in my spirit the other day.  It’s easy to worship the Lord when we believe in Him and know He is always good and honest, He is for us.

We need to get on our faces before the Lord and repent of our double mindedness and lax attitudes toward Your word and for agreeing with the world about events, reading the horoscope, joking about marital sex, hoarding addictions and praising the dark arts and occult.

We have offended You only, Lord.  Dear Lord, raise up the men to be prayer warriors, leaders, fathers, husbands, teachers, and the men and women to be after God’s own heart. Light the fire! Praise You only Lord God!

“You be holy for God is holy” 1 Peter 1:16.

Recently, we heard a powerful prophecy given by David Ruis, where God says, “Give Me Glory!!!!!”

Test ME

A woman in the bookstore line related how she’d fallen earlier, right in front of the Ministry Team who prayed for her.  Looking for a bright spot, I said, “Well, God says, ‘Test Me’ (Malachi 3:10)”.  A young man nearby nodded in agreement.

Later in the conference, the Pastor quoted “Test ME,” too.

More of Your word, Lord, please. You are faithful, we are wrong when we lose faith in You.  You, Lord, are always right and good, if we are patient, we’ll see it.  In Jesus’ name. Amen.

“Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouses, that there may be meat in Mine house, and prove Me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.”

Malachi 3:10 (KJV).

“I Will Sustain You”

Heard this from the Lord when I contemplated how long a fast to go on.  In the past recent years it wasn’t more than 2 days at a time.

We heard special first of the year messages, but I’d missed my usual beginning of the year fast and special Bible readings.  Holy Spirit doesn’t work on our time schedule and I was feeling a loose end.

God will answer you just as well, He is no respecter of persons (Acts 10:34).

“Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.” James 4:8

Jesus says,When you fast…” (Matt 6).
