Richness

Jesus prayed, “And the glory which Thou gavest Me I have given them; that they may be one, even as We are One:John 17:22 (KJV).

And

But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” Matthew 6:33 (NKJV).

“And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Paul prays in Philippians 4:19 (NKJV).

“Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out! “Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor?”

“Who has ever given to God, that God should repay them?”
For from him and through him and for him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen. ” Romans 11:33-36 (NIV).
“Will a man rob God?
Yet you have robbed Me!
But you say,
‘In what way have we robbed You?’
In tithes and offerings.
You are cursed with a curse,
For you have robbed Me,
Even this whole nation.
Bring all the tithes into the storehouse,
That there may be food in My house,
And try Me now in this,”
Says the Lord of hosts,
“If I will not open for you the windows of heaven
And pour out for you such blessing
That there will not be room enough to receive it.”    Malachi 3:8-10 (NKJV).

Reduce The Noise

Isaiah 25:5 (KJV), “Thou shalt bring down the noise of strangers, as the heat in a dry place; even the heat with the shadow of a cloud: the branch of the terrible ones shall be brought low.”

Psalm 65:7 (NKJV), “You who still the noise of the seas,
The noise of their waves,
And the tumult of the peoples.”

Wow, these two verses came up during devotion one morning after praying; how many noises there were!  God, You are our refuge against the storm of noise (Psalm 46:1).  We love You!

Jesus said in Matthew 15:10, “Listen and understand.

“A furious squall came up, and the waves broke over the boat, so that it was nearly swamped. Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him and said to him, “Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?”  He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, Quiet! Be still! Then the wind died down and it was completely calm.” Mark 4:37-39 (NIV).

I’ll Pay My Vows

“But I will sacrifice unto Thee with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay that that I have vowed.  Salvation is of the Lord.” Jonah 2:9 (KJV).

Jesus says in Matt 5:33-37, 42 (NASB) “Again, you have heard that the ancients were told, ‘YOU SHALL NOT MAKE FALSE VOWS, BUT SHALL FULFILL YOUR VOWS TO THE LORD.’ “But I say to you, make no oath at all, either by heaven, for it is the throne of God, or by the earth, for it is the footstool of His feet, or by Jerusalem, for it is THE CITY OF THE GREAT KING. “Nor shall you make an oath by your head, for you cannot make one hair white or black. “But let your statement be, ‘Yes, yes’ or ‘No, no’; anything beyond these is of evil.” “Give to him who asks of you, and do not turn away from him who wants to borrow from you.”

You won’t get a paycheck, but if you pay what you promised, the Lord Who seeks righteousness will know.  Two years ago I gave away my hair, clothes and car.

Dr. David Jeremiah describes generosity as giving and not expecting anything back (TBN).

Ecclesiastes 5:4 (KJV), “When thou vowest a vow unto God, defer not to pay it; for he hath no pleasure in fools: pay that which thou hast vowed.”

2 Chronicles 16:9 (NIV), “For the eyes of the LORD range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to Him. You have done a foolish thing, and from now on you will be at war.”

The Nose Knows

Praying for fully healed senses: eyes, ears, nose, mouth, touch; physical and in the spiritual for discernment, especially spiritual eyes.

Ephesians 1:17-23 (KJV)

That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him:

The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of His calling, and what the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,

And what is the exceeding greatness of His power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of His mighty power,

Which He wrought in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead, and set Him at His own right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: and hath put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be the head over all things to the church, Which is His body, the fulness of Him that filleth all in all.”

“Give therefore Thy servant an understanding heart to judge Thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this Thy so great a people?” Solomon prayer in 1 Kings 3:9 (KJV). (God granted his request in vs 11 and 12).

“But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one.” 1 Corinthians 2:14-15.

Psalm 110

A Psalm of David.

The Lord said to my Lord,
“Sit at My right hand,
Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.”
The Lord shall send the rod of Your strength out of Zion.
Rule in the midst of Your enemies!

Your people shall be volunteers
In the day of Your power;
In the beauties of holiness, from the womb of the morning,
You have the dew of Your youth.
The Lord has sworn
And will not relent,
You are a priest forever
According to the order of Melchizedek.”

The Lord is at Your right hand;
He shall execute kings in the day of His wrath.
He shall judge among the nations,
He shall fill the places with dead bodies,
He shall execute the heads of many countries.
He shall drink of the brook by the wayside;
Therefore He shall lift up the head.

Psalm 110 (NKJV)

The Lord Showed Me,

…and there were two baskets of figs…

set before the temple of the Lord, after Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon had carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, and the princes of Judah with the craftsmen and smiths, from Jerusalem, and had brought them to Babylon. One basket had very good figs, like the figs that are first ripe; and the other basket had very bad figs which could not be eaten, they were so bad. Then the Lord said to me, “What do you see, Jeremiah?”

And I said, “Figs, the good figs, very good; and the bad, very bad, which cannot be eaten, they are so bad.”

Again the word of the Lord came to me, saying, “Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel: ‘Like these good figs, so will I acknowledge those who are carried away captive from Judah, whom I have sent out of this place for their own good, into the land of the Chaldeans. For I will set My eyes on them for good, and I will bring them back to this land; I will build them and not pull them down, and I will plant them and not pluck them up. Then I will give them a heart to know Me, that I am the Lord; and they shall be My people, and I will be their God, for they shall return to Me with their whole heart.

‘And as the bad figs which cannot be eaten, they are so bad’—surely thus says the Lord—‘so will I give up Zedekiah the king of Judah, his princes, the residue of Jerusalem who remain in this land, and those who dwell in the land of Egypt. I will deliver them to trouble into all the kingdoms of the earth, for their harm, to be a reproach and a byword, a taunt and a curse, in all places where I shall drive them. And I will send the sword, the famine, and the pestilence among them, till they are consumed from the land that I gave to them and their fathers.’ ”

Jeremiah 24 (NKJV)

Watchman

“Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the House of Israel; therefore hear a word from My mouth, and give them a warning from Me:

“When I say to the wicked, ‘you shall surely die,’ and you give him no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life, that same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at your hand.”    Ezekiel 3:17-18 (NKJV).

“Yet, if you warn the wicked and he doesn’t turn from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he will die in his iniquity; but you have delivered your soul.” Ezekiel 3:19.

Invisible Thread

My husband picked up my spilled sewing tin and joked, “how did I see the invisible thread?” The clear plastic thread I’d lost use for.

Witnessing to my nephew once on how God provides all the intangibles: faith, love, confidence, hope, he said unconvinced, “all I have to do is submit to Him?”

Paul tells us to walk by faith in 2 Corinthians 5:7.

Dear Lord, thread through our lives, with Your mercy, grace, love and truth. For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand elsewhere.

Hebrews 11:1-3 (The Message), “The fundamental fact of existence is that this trust in God, this faith, is the firm foundation under everything that makes life worth living. It’s our handle on what we can’t see. The act of faith is what distinguished our ancestors, set them above the crowd. By faith, we see the world called into existence by God’s word, what we see created by what we don’t see.”

Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen Me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

Roman 4:17 (KJV), “(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.”

John 20:31 (NIV), “But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in His name.”

Reclaiming Lost Things

Alright, Father God finds the lost, like me and you.

I didn’t know I was in darkness, but Jesus rescued me from my sinful self.  Now I can believe Him Who lives in me and His thoughts about me.

After finding my friend’s earring last month, the Lord gave me a prophetic dream where I found a lost engagement ring behind a cabinet, then was babysitting in another house and said to the parents, “I was reclaiming lost things.”

You have to declare it, said a friend once.  Let’s declare;

  • God finds the lost,
  • God restores marriages,
  • God repairs broken hearts,
  • God repairs broken relationships,
  • God reconciles friends,
  • God heals the sick,
  • God makes the crooked places straight

Rejoice with Me, I’ve found My lost sheep,” Luke 15:6; “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds,” Psalm 147:3; He makes the crooked places straight Isaiah 45:2

“That’s What You Want”

The Lord said this twice as I drove from visiting my new grandbaby, Noah, in the hospital.  My ex-husband was also there.  He is remarried, there is nothing between us, in fact I intercede for them both.  Not sure where the Lord was going with this word, but it led me to seriously lament again the failed, former marriage and how everyone suffered by its demise. I’m powerless to change what happened, maybe praying for them would make me a better wife one day.

The good Lord , now 3 years later, gave me a new husband. He brought us together for His purposes, though we reap the many beautiful benefits of being under His wing.

Boaz to Ruth in 2:12 (KJV), “The Lord recompense thy work, and a full reward be given thee of the Lord God of Israel, under whose wings thou art come to trust.”

Jesus said He made them male and female in Mark 10:6.

Mark 10:27, “And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.

John 15:5, Jesus says, “without Me ye can do nothing.”
