A woman left an abusive husband. She met, fell in love with and married a personal trainer.
“Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” Isaiah 43:18-19
“But this happened that the word might be fulfilled which is written in their law, ‘They hated Me without a cause.'” Jesus in John 15:25
“And John tried to prevent Him, saying, ‘I need to be baptized by You, and are You coming to me?’
“But Jesus answered and said to him, ‘Permit it to be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness.’ Then he allowed Him.”
“Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill.
“For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled.”
“I now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up in my flesh what is lacking in the afflictions of Christ, for the sake of His body, which is the church, of which I became a minister according to the stewardship from God which was given to me for you, to fulfill the word of God…” Colossians 1:24-25
Prophetic dream: I step into an elevator, where a gray-haired, tired looking couple are standing. The elevator keeps going up and down, I look at the control panel and no floor numbers are lit. I state to the couple, “you’re cut off!” and choose a floor number.
This reminds me of ‘taking a ride’ spiritually and going after God’s gifts, but not submitting to Him the Person.
“For evildoers shall be cut off; but those who wait on the Lord, they shall inherit the earth.” Psalm 37:9
May 30th, Oswald Chambers:
“Suppose God tells you to do something that is an enormous test of your common sense, totally going against it. What will you do? … Again and again you will come right up to what Jesus wants, but every time you will turn back at the true point of testing, until you are determined to abandon yourself to God in total surrender.”
When God tells you something, He means it and He’ll bring it to happen.
“Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:2
We should ignore the shame of what we’re going through also.
“I have overcome the world” John 16:33
He will direct your steps (Prov 3:5-6)
“Your heavenly Father give(s) the Holy Spirit” (Luke 11:10-13)
“Behold what manner of love the father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God!” 1 John 3:1
Yikes, if He said this to us, it would be the end of our doubting, correct?
He dared not pray it aloud; that he wanted some manifestation of God being in charge, what with his little brother dying at age 3 and other tragedies in his family’s life. But God knew his thoughts and answered him.
“Then the Lord said to me, ‘You have seen well, for I am ready to perform My word.'”
Jeremiah 1:12 (NKJV)
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9
“In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.” Jesus states in John 14:2
