Rice Pudding Recipe

The earth is the Lord’s, and all things therein

Psalm 24:1

Ingredients:

  • 14 ounces Whole Milk
  • 4 ounces Rice
  • 1/8 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1 ounce Raisins (almost one small box)
  • 1 tablespoon Butter
  • 1 Banana

Mix milk, rice, raisins and cinnamon together in a pot and bring to a boil, while stirring a bit. Lower flame, cover while stirring occasionally till rice is all softened, add a little more milk if needed, about 30 minutes. Add butter and let it melt in. Smash in banana leaving some lumps.  Serve.

Cooking the rice in milk takes a lot longer than in water and the banana gives it a Caribbean feel. Adapted from cafedelites.com/easy-cinnamon-raisin-rice-pudding/

Highway

“The highway of the upright is to depart from evil;
He who keeps his way preserves his soul.”             Proverbs 16:17

“The way of the lazy man is like a hedge of thorns,
But the way of the upright is a highway.”   Proverbs 15:19

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are My ways higher than your ways,
And My thoughts than your thoughts.

10 “For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven,
And do not return there,
But water the earth,
And make it bring forth and bud,
That it may give seed to the sower
And bread to the eater,

So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth;
It shall not return to Me [a]void,
But it shall accomplish what I please,
And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

Isaiah 55:9-10

Go Out / See People

“Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.”                                  Hebrews 10:25

Talk to People, they are hungry for human connection. Love them. Let churches create online chats, meetings, prayers.  Gather in homes in small numbers and stay safe, using distancing methods.

Father God, You don’t want anyone to perish.  Comfort the family & friends of those caught in this plague. Save us oh Lord, in Jesus’ name.
