That we live in an energy soup, is a new age saying. Jesus cuts through sharper than a 2 edged sword.
“It is the Spirit who gives life; theflesh profits nothing. Thewords that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.” Jesus in John 6:63 (NKJV).
“For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.” Paul in Hebrews 4:12 (NIV).
“Believe Me now?” John 16:31
“Anyone who loves Me, will obey My teaching. My Father will love them, and We will come to them and make Our home with them.” John 14:23
“I am the Light of the world” John 8:12
“He who believes and is baptized will be saved;” Mark 16:16
“For we do not wrestle against flesh & blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” Paul’s letter to Ephesians 6:12 (NKJV).
We heard a sermon where Jesus said He’s going to breathe on your prophetic word. He’ll breathe new life on it, though you began to wonder when and if it’s ever going to happen (Banning Liebscher).
The Holy Spirit is innovative, my Pastor’s wife, Martha said, He’s always doing something new. Recently I listened to a seven year old prophecy that I’m a mighty woman of God. When people called me that two years ago, I still had trouble believing it. However, when you’re doing things for the Father, like interceding where there’s no glory, you’re not noticing what you look like.
It reminds me of when Gideon in Judges 6:12, was called mighty in God, and wasn’t feelin it. “And the Angel of the Lord appeared to him, and said to him, ‘The Lord is with you, you mighty man of valor!'”
Now mostly when I hear a prophetic word, it’s a direct answer and guidance to what’s going on in my life now, not so far-fetched sounding.
Heard this in my spirit as I was driving to the gym. Obeying with expectancy that perhaps God wanted me to see the beautiful Spring flowers better. Up ahead my eyes looked on a steel kitchen Bakers’ Rack like the one I gave away before moving out of state. The owner had put it on the curb.
The following week God spoke through a prophet that He is giving clearer vision. Praise God!
“Lift up your eyes on high, and see Who has created these things, Who brings out their host by number, He calls them all by name, by the greatness of His might and the strength of His power; not one is missing.” Isaiah 40:26 (NKJV).
We had this discussion that when God blesses us, we’re humbled because it’s something we couldn’t achieve on our own. Also, when we humble ourselves before God; repentant, asking for mercy and forgiveness, we’re totally humbled knowing only He could make us renewed. Praise God!
“But seek first, the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” says Jesus in Matthew 6:33.
“Restore to me the joy of Your salvation.” Psalm 51:12, David cries.
A song sung during an Alaskan mission trip at the park. It encouraged me because all the other singers performed secular music and I was so far from home and felt lonely, even though I was amongst other believers.
“God made everything with a place and purpose; even the wicked are included – but for judgment.” Proverbs 16:4 (The Message).
“For in Him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through Him and for Him.” Colossians 1:16 (NIV).
I will extol You, my God, O King; And I will bless Your name forever and ever. Every day I will bless You, And I will praise Your name forever and ever. Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; And His greatness is unsearchable.
One generation shall praise Your works to another, And shall declare Your mighty acts. I will meditate on the glorious splendor of Your majesty, And on Your wondrous works. Men shall speak of the might of Your awesome acts, And I will declare Your greatness. They shall utter the memory of Your great goodness, And shall sing of Your righteousness.
The Lordis gracious and full of compassion, Slow to anger and great in mercy. The Lordis good to all, And His tender mercies are over all His works.
All Your works shall praise You, O Lord, And Your saints shall bless You. They shall speak of the glory of Your kingdom, And talk of Your power, To make known to the sons of men His mighty acts, And the glorious majesty of His kingdom. Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, And Your dominion endures throughout all generations.
The Lord upholds all who fall, And raises up all who are bowed down. The eyes of all look expectantly to You, And You give them their food in due season. You open Your hand And satisfy the desire of every living thing.
The Lordis righteous in all His ways, Gracious in all His works. The Lordis near to all who call upon Him, To all who call upon Him in truth. He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He also will hear their cry and save them. The Lord preserves all who love Him, But all the wicked He will destroy. My mouth shall speak the praise of the Lord, And all flesh shall bless His holy nameForever and ever.
O Lord, our Lord, how excellent is Thy name in all the earth! who hast set Thy glory above the heavens.
Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast Thou ordained strength because of Thine enemies, that Thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.
When I consider Thy heavens, the work of Thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which Thou hast ordained;
What is man, that Thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?
Psalm 8: 1-4 (KJV)
“Truly I know it is so, But how can a man be righteous before God? If one wished to contend with Him, He could not answer Him one time out of a thousand. God is wise in heart and mighty in strength. Who has hardened himself against Him and prospered? He removes the mountains, and they do not know When He overturns them in His anger; He shakes the earth out of its place, And its pillars tremble; He commands the sun, and it does not rise; He seals off the stars; He alone spreads out the heavens, And treads on the waves of the sea; He made the Bear, Orion, and the Pleiades, And the chambers of the south; He does great things past finding out, Yes, wonders without number.”
Job 9:1-10 (NKJV)
Father God, I fear You with godly fear, You are awesome and holy, You seek me to come repentant to You. But You do want me to come. We are tiny in Your sight, but You love us. How wonderful are You, Lord! You want me to tithe mercy, justice and truth and seek forgiveness from those I hurt. How great are You God! Halleluia
Romans 12:2, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will.”
2 Corinthians 3:18, “And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.”
Praise God! What can we do to transform ourselves? Draw closer to God in prayer, in song, holding a place and time or times for Him every day, letting Him have His perfect will in us.
