Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of My mouth.
Jesus in Revelation 2:16 (KJV)
“For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
“Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.” Hebrews 4:12, 16 (NIV)
Ephesians 6:17 (NIV), “Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.”
Father God, may Your Word, Your Spirit be lifted up above every other teaching, only because You love us so much and know what’s best for us. Thank You, Father for the Pastor’s wisdom this morning: if we lived in a country where being Christian was against the law and the Police were hired to put us in jail & take away our rights – as it is right now in some countries! – how would we feel about the Police? – This is how many people of color feel about the Police, because of what has been done to us and our friends in the past and the most recent crime. A special sensitivity.
My friend wonders, “What if I die from the virus?”
“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?36 As it is written:
“For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”[a]
37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[b] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers,39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord”
Romans 8:35-39 (NIV) BibleGateway
“For if we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s.” Romans 14:8 (NKJV)
How can we be aware of the anti-Christ? a man asked me.
“Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the
Father and the Son.”
1 John 2:22
(also, see 1 John 2:18-23)
My first thought to answer him is that you need to know the Word of God, and be filled with His Spirit. Jesus says, “the Spirit of Truth will tell you all things.” in John 16:13.
Remembering teachings from Daniel and Revelation about the end of time and the anti-Christ; he’s going to be popular and perform miracles, he’ll be a false teacher simply because he disagrees with the Word of God and is God’s enemy and our enemy.
“God is rich in mercy” Ephesians 2:4
**Read the Bible and allow the Holy Spirit to talk to you, and you won’t get fooled.
Haggai 2:4-9, “Yet now be strong…for I am with you…Once more I will shake heaven and earth, the sea and dry land…I will shake all nations…I will fill this temple with glory…. And in this place I will give peace.”
Derek Prince Ministries gives a biblical prophecy on end times. There’s a lot of voices out there, especially now. Do they match the Word of God? Some prophets may be well-meaning, but it helps you all to know God’s word so you can discern the truth personally. I don’t want you to be left behind.
Someone in a prayer group said that Derek Prince had a deliverance ministry. That’s only part right – He had a Jesus ministry.
“He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick.” Matthew 8:16-17
