Divide & Conquer

Then one was brought to Him who was demon-possessed, blind and mute; and He healed him, so that the [a]blind and mute man both spoke and saw. 23 And all the multitudes were amazed and said, ‘Could this be the Son of David?’

“24 Now when the Pharisees heard it they said, ‘This fellow does not cast out demons except by Beelzebub, the ruler of the demons.’

“25 But Jesus knew their thoughts, and said to them: ‘Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand. 26 If Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand? 27 And if I cast out demons by Beelzebub, by whom do your sons cast them out? Therefore they shall be your judges. 28 But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you.’                      Matthew 12:22-28

Dear Jesus, let Your enemies be scattered as we stand in unity with You, Father God and Holy Spirit. Amen

“I Love You, I Love You, I Love You,”

said a woman I met at a friend’s church. This is God talking to you & me.

The Lord has appeared of old to me, saying:
“Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love;
Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you.

Jeremiah 31:3

 We love Him because He first loved us.”                1 John 4:19

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.”

John 3:15

Disappointment

“I delight to do Thy will, O my God: yea, Thy law is within my heart.” Psalm 40:8

  • Church plant failure? It took a lot of money and people’s resources, the Pastor said.
  • Business disaster?
  • Divorce?
  • Child loss? Hillary Scott’s song: ‘How is my pain part of Your plan?’

We’re not immune from these, but we get up again. Haven’t you all heard people say: I was following You, God, obeying You, then ‘the bottom drops out’?

Oswald Chambers, October 13, https://utmost.org/individual-discouragement-and-personal-growth/

“We may have the vision of God and a very clear understanding of what God wants, and yet when we start to do it, there comes to us something equivalent to Moses’ forty years in the wilderness.”

The Fire Comes

“John answered, saying to all, ‘I indeed baptize you with water; but One mightier than I is coming, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to loose. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.’ ” Luke 3:16

Burning yellow embers is Your fiery sunset, Lord God.

You, God are the Deliverer, the Provider, the Hope giver, the Life giver, not like it was – it’s all new (2 Samuel 22:2, Psalm 28, Romans 15:13, John 1:4)

“Each one’s work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one’s work, of what sort it is.” 1 Corinthians 3:13

  • Not the same – it’s going to be new (Revelation 21:5)
  • *Reinhard Bonnke has passed into eternal fellowship with Jesus.  Comfort and Peace to his family and close friends.
  • New ‘American Dream’ malls
  • The Lord has promised to never destroy the earth again by flood waters. (Genesis 9:11, 2 Peter 3:10)

Be a lamp, a fire in your communities, your families, your jobs!

“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.” Matthew 5:14

Early this year, Pastor John Arnott of Catch the Fire, Toronto said that God would do many new things in 2019.

A Little Birdie Told Me

My sister called me when I needed help (not the other way around).  Friends come, strangers help, it’s listening to the Spirit.  Don’t be caught dead without Him.

“Give us help from trouble, for the help of man is useless.” Cries David to God in Psalm 108:12

Similarly, you call someone out of the blue, help someone, write to them.

Pastor Martin Luther, Jr. is credited with: “the time is always right to do what is right.”

That Day – Isaiah 12

And in that day you will say:

“O Lord, I will praise You;
Though You were angry with me,
Your anger is turned away, and You comfort me.
Behold, God is my salvation,
I will trust and not be afraid;
‘For Yah, the Lord, is my strength and song;
He also has become my salvation.’ ”

Therefore with joy you will draw water
From the wells of salvation.

And in that day you will say:

“Praise the Lord, call upon His name;
Declare His deeds among the peoples,
Make mention that His name is exalted.
Sing to the Lord,
For He has done excellent things;
This is known in all the earth.
Cry out and shout, O inhabitant of Zion,
For great is the Holy One of Israel in your midst!”

Praise You, Lord Jesus, Father, You’re true, honest and worthy of all our praise!

Everything is God’s

“The earth is the Lord’s and all its fullness, the world and those who dwell therein.”  Psalm 24:1

“Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in the power of your hand to do so.”  Proverbs 3:27

“Now, our God, we give you thanks, and praise your glorious name.  14 “But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand.”  1 Chronicles 29:13-14, David’s prayer

Lord Father, we give thanks to You, for providing our homes, businesses and paychecks in Jesus’ name.

God, You did Something New Again!

Birds seemingly flying backwards, watching on a train. Beauty new everyday! Glory to You, Creator, Father God!

“For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD as the waters cover the sea.”

Habakkuk 2:14 (NIV)

It is of the Lord‘s mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not.  23 They are new every morning: great is Thy faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:22-23 (KJV)

Writing

My heart is overflowing with a good theme;
I recite my composition concerning the King;
My tongue is the pen of a ready writer.”

Psalm 45:1

“‘Writing,’ he patiently tried to persuade his doubtful daughter, ‘is man’s highest calling. Words are the emotional food that feed the hungry heart and the soul.'” Page 44 in Linda Droeger’s Bound By Love.
