Discuss, Not Fight

A kind, wise man answered he discussed things with his wife, not fought.  Saying, “if you love someone, you don’t fight, you don’t get into a lot of horse baloney.”

“Our goal is to be like Jesus,” our Pastor prayed after a couples seminar.

So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets,” said Jesus in Matthew 7:12 (NIV).”

Live peaceably as much as possible, reads Roman 12:18.

Ephesians 5:25-33 (NKJV), “Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish. So husbands ought to love their own wives as their own bodies; he who loves his wife loves himself. For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as the Lord does the church. For we are members of His body, of His flesh and of His bones. “For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.” This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church.  Nevertheless let each one of you in particular so love his own wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.”

“A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver.” Proverbs 25:11 (KJV).

“Meet Me”

…the Lord said this in the Spirit about attending the other church the next day: a Sunday.

There I met the LORD God, when an announcement was made for a special speaker the following week. That day, a friend’s daughter was admitted to the Emergency Room.  She agreed to go to the conference if she was released in time.  We did all attend, the message seemed to be specifically for each one of us.

Have you ever been scattered, discombobulated, lost?  Come to Him.

Matt 11:28-29 (NIV), “Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”

Psalm 119:176 (NIV), “I have strayed like a lost sheep. Seek your servant, for I have not forgotten your commands.”

“You’ll Go Through the Fire”

In the spirit, I heard this a few weeks ago, at first it was unsettling.  When the Lord gives us a heads up, we can prepare our hearts.  Then I found these verses below:

Isaiah 43:2 (KJV), “When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.”

Psalm 66:12 (KJV), “Thou hast caused men to ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water: but thou broughtest us out into a wealthy place.”

Rev 3:18 (NIV), “I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see.”

1 Corinthians 3:15 (NIV), “If it is burned up, the builder will suffer loss but yet will be saved–even though only as one escaping through the flames.”

“It Is Done”

The Lord said this after a time of interceding for some friends.

John 19:30 (NIV), “When he had received the drink, Jesus said, “It is finished.” With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.”

God is so faithful, much more than we are.  Though His days are like a thousand years and a thousand years are like a day.  Don’t worry, He’s got this, whatever you need or are praying for. Just trust Him, to complete it.

Take this ‘word’ for yourselves and whatever you’re believing Father God for.

Under His Wings

Ruth 2:12 (KJV), “The Lord recompense thy work, and a full reward be given thee of the Lord God of Israel, under whose wings thou art come to trust.”

Psalm 91:4 (KJV), “He shall cover thee with His feathers, and under His wings shalt thou trust: His truth shall be thy shield and buckler.”

Malachi 4:2 (NLT), “But for you who fear My name, the Sun of Righteousness will rise with healing in His wings. And you will go free, leaping with joy like calves let out to pasture.”

Matthew 23:37, (NIV), Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were not willing.

Together

…it makes sense.  Together we glorify Christ, God.  We were created for God’s glory. (prayer heard on TBN tv station).

Isaiah 43:7 (NKJV), “Everyone who is called by My name, whom I have created for My glory; I have formed him, yes, I have made him.”

Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 (NIV):

Two are better than one,
because they have a good return for their labor:
If either of them falls down,
one can help the other up.
But pity anyone who falls
and has no one to help them up.
Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm.
But how can one keep warm alone?
Though one may be overpowered,
    two can defend themselves.
A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.

When Will We Be Like Diamonds?

A prophet once told me that I will be like a diamond, shining the Lord’s light.

A well cut diamond reflects light to maximize the stone’s brilliance, according to the jewelry website.

Psalm 66:10 (NIV), “For you, God, tested us; you refined us like silver.”

Proverbs 17:3 (KJV), “The fining pot is for silver, and the furnace for gold: but the LORD trieth the hearts.”

Isaiah 48:10 (NIV), “See, I have refined you, though not as silver;
I have tested you in the furnace of affliction.

2 Corinthians 4:8-10 (KJV), “We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;
Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.”

1 Peter 4:12 (NIV), “Dear friends, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice inasmuch as you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed.”

Revelation 2:17, “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.”
