Black and Brown Lives Matter

Black and brown lives matter because:

 Jesus died for all

Jesus said to love your neighbor as yourself

My brothers and sisters in Christ are black, brown and all colors, tribes, nations and tongues (my family alone represents over 10 nationalities)

We are to lift up our brothers and sisters who are in trouble, who need a friend

We cry at the tragedy

We stand with the indignant, ensuring our brothers, sisters, friends, children and grandchildren live safe, free lives.

“And He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.”           2 Corinthians 5:15

“‘And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.  This is the first commandment.  And the second, like it, is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’  There is no other commandment greater than these.”              Mark 12:30-31
