“Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbol.” 1 Corinthians 13:1
Praying for all my friends to have love, laughter, divine appointments, miracles, joy – I want to hear a praise report!
Memories of friends go drifting by since the Covid19 shut in, it seems like all the people I’ve ever known have crossed my mind, with an ‘Auld Lang Syne’ melody. A slow-motion-life-flashing-before-my-eyes scenario. All the love rising to the top.
Thank you, Frederico Erthal, for the great Pexels picture!
“ I thank my God every time I remember you.4 In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy,
“6 Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 1:3-4, and 6 (NIV)
Separated because of the Covid 19 virus or some other reason? What if you were on vacation? You’ld pray for them to be safe, happy and healthy. Be thankful for them being in your life, for all the wonderful times you shared together, the unspeakable joy.
1 Thessalians 4:12, “That you may walk properly toward those who are outside, and that you may lack nothing.”

“For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.”
2 Corinthians 1:20
Someone joked that evangelists only believe certain parts of the Bible.
“And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, ‘Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!’ So God granted him what he requested.” 1 Chronicles 4:10
“The gospel must first be preached to all the nations. When they arrest you and hand you over, do not worry beforehand about what you are to say, but say whatever is given you in that hour; for it is not you who speak, but it is the Holy Spirit. Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child; and children will rise up against parents and have them put to death. You will be hated by all because of My name, but the one who endures to the end, he will be saved.”
“Greater love has no one than this that a Man lay down His life for His friends.” John 15:13
“We war against powers & principalities” Ephesians 6:12
Galatians 3:26-29 “You are Christ’s”
For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.
“And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for Him who died for them and was raised again.” 2 Corinthians 5:15 (NIV)
“‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.” Mark 12:30-31 BibleGateway
We are brothers and sisters in Christ and are black, brown, any and all colors, tribes, nations and tongues. Almost 20 years ago, my Pastor wanted all nations represented in his church because that’s what God wanted and what it’ll be like in heaven.
We are to lift up those who are in trouble and who need a friend
We cry at the tragedy
We stand with the indignant
We ensure our brothers, sisters, friends, children, and grandchildren live safe, free lives.
“The precious sons of Zion, valuable as fine gold, how they are regarded as clay pots, the work of the hands of the potter!”
“They ravished the women in Zion, the maidens in the cities of Judah.
“Princes were hung up by their hands, and elders were not respected.”
“Turn us back to You, O Lord, and we will be restored; renew our days as of old.”
How did Germany overcome the sick, evil, degrading, dehumanizing treatment, torture and putting to death of their fellow man during the Holocaust?
How does America love our fellow man and overcome our dehumanizing history of slavery of Africans? What monument can we erect representing justice, to say we acknowledge our sins and wicked ways and no more do we harm descendants of Africans? No more double standards of who receives mercy & honor.
“Honor all people.” 1 Peter 2:17
Thank you for Bishop T.D. Jakes’ speaking out on our history of slavery on TBN, and how to stand together and support Black and Brown people during this time.
