I Appreciate You

This phrase was passed between myself and others 3 times in 2 days. Is this how God thinks toward us? How nice to hear this from another! It’s year end and we take stock of last year, the joys and sorrows.  We look forward to tomorrow.

“Thus far the Lord has helped us.”  1 Samuel 7:12

“[I] do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers:” Ephesians 1:16

“I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine making request for you all with joy,”      Philippians 1:3-4

In a Garden

Jesus was arrested:

“When Jesus had spoken these words, He went out with His disciples over the Brook Kidron, where was a garden, which He and His disciples entered… Then the detachment of troops and the captain and the officers of the Jews arrested Jesus and bound Him.” John 18:1, 12

God will comfort you:

“For the Lord will comfort Zion, He will comfort all her waste places;
He will make her wilderness like Eden, And her desert like the garden of the Lord; Joy and gladness will be found in it, Thanksgiving and the voice of melody.”  Isaiah 51:3

We receive work:

“Then the Lord God took [a]the man and put him in the garden of Eden to [b]tend and keep it.”   Genesis 2:15

We receive paradise:

In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. And there shall be no more curse, but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him.”                Revelation 22:2-3

The Covering

“Let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death and cover a multitude of sins.”  James 5:20

And he said, “Who are you?”

So she answered, “I am Ruth, your maidservant. Take[a] your maidservant under your wing, for you are a [b]close relative.”  Ruth 3:9

“Moreover the law entered that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more,”             Romans 5:20

OMG! The ministry couple on CBN, where the husband adopted the wife’s son by another. Reminds me of the book of Hosea.

God is so much greater than our sins. Thank You Father God!

Disappointment

“I delight to do Thy will, O my God: yea, Thy law is within my heart.” Psalm 40:8

  • Church plant failure? It took a lot of money and people’s resources, the Pastor said.
  • Business disaster?
  • Divorce?
  • Child loss? Hillary Scott’s song: ‘How is my pain part of Your plan?’

We’re not immune from these, but we get up again. Haven’t you all heard people say: I was following You, God, obeying You, then ‘the bottom drops out’?

Oswald Chambers, October 13, https://utmost.org/individual-discouragement-and-personal-growth/

“We may have the vision of God and a very clear understanding of what God wants, and yet when we start to do it, there comes to us something equivalent to Moses’ forty years in the wilderness.”

Blogging Rules

  • Glorify God: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your mind, all your soul and all your strength.” Says Jesus in Mark 12:30
  • Be honest: give something true of yourself (Proverbs 11:3)
  • Be consistent: keep giving (Luke 6:38)
  • Minimize tags and categories (Ecclesiastes 5:2) – this is a hard one

God made each of us so unique, how could our blogs be the same then?

Goodwill to Men

Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night. And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. 10 Then the angel said to them,

‘Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. 11 For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. 12 And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.’

13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying:

14 “Glory to God in the highest,
And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!”

Luke 2:8-14

“For with God nothing will be impossible.” Luke 1:37

“A light to bring revelation to the Gentiles, and the glory of Your people Israel.” Luke 2:32

“And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.”                                 Matthew 1:21

Jesus is Born

“I am the First and the Last” Revelation 22:13

“Worship God! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy” Revelation 19:10b

Jesus is the ministry of reconciliation:

Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, 19 that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.”  2 Corinthians 5:18-19

We’re so in wonder about Jesus’ birth because;

  • Who He is,
  • Why He came down to earth,
  • How He saves us,
  • How He loves us.

Many blessings to you all to know Jesus fully!

Praise God!  Glory, blessings, honor, and power to You forever, Lord God

All The Lonely People

You’re My friends, if you do whatever I command you (John 15:14)

I think I met the loneliest person in the world: in need of deliverance, 10 years wandering, friendless, if he/she would only surrender to the One Friend, Jesus. Sometimes you have to bite the bullet and go see a psychiatrist, also.

“He predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with His pleasure and will—” Ephesians 1:5 (NIV)

“And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.” Acts 2:42

We took sweet counsel together, and walked to the house of God in the throng.” Psalm 55:14

Unicorns, Dragons & Sea Monsters

“Will the unicorn be willing to serve thee, or abide by thy crib?” Job 39:9 (KJV)

So is this great and wide sea, wherein are things creeping innumerable, both small and great beasts.

26 There go the ships: there is that leviathan, whom thou hast made to play therein.” Psalm 104:25-26 (KJV)

“Even the sea monsters draw out the breast, they give suck to their young ones: the daughter of my people is become cruel, like the ostriches in the wilderness.” Lamentations 4:3 (KJV)

Job 41:

“Canst thou draw out leviathan with an hook? or his tongue with a cord which thou lettest down?” verse 1 (KJV)

“Out of his mouth go burning lamps, and sparks of fire leap out.  20 Out of his nostrils goeth smoke, as out of a seething pot or caldron.  21 His breath kindleth coals, and a flame goeth out of his mouth.  22 In his neck remaineth strength, and sorrow is turned into joy before him.” verses 19-22

Darts are counted as stubble: he laugheth at the shaking of a spear.” vs 29

Using the King James version, with these verses.  There’s no comparison on other versions. The banned Book is true.
