You Have A Voice

“He who speaks truth declares righteousness, but a false witness, deceit.” Proverbs 12:17 (NKJV)

“There is one who speaks like the piercings of a sword, but the tongue of the wise promotes health.” Proverbs 12:18

“Therefore, putting away lying, ‘Let each one of you speak truth with his neighbor,’ for we are members of one another.” Ephesians 4:25

Sharing this prophecy with you that I received because we all have a voice on our blogs.  God bless you.

Father God, when You tell us we have a voice, it’s when You are put first and declare Your righteousness.  May You be exalted in our lives.

Leaving Facebook

“But shun profane and idle babblings, for they will increase to more ungodliness.” 2 Timothy 2:16 (NKJV).

After we decided to delete our fb accounts, this verse showed up.  Suddenly now, there are no more thoughts about it; how someone’s going to react to a picture or life event we might post. Our ‘friends’ already have our phone number & email.

Ahhhh, peace and quiet, like in my head.  Relief, we are the only ones in our house.  There’s no more stalking ads from google. We will, however, talk with our neighbors more and our family and friends; we will see people more and not be buried in a phone.

Free

“So Christ has truly set us free. Now make sure that you stay free, and don’t get tied up again in slavery to the law.” Galatians 5:1 (NLT)

How funny, I quoted part of this verse on my husband’s birthday card. And when he came downstairs after getting dressed, he wore the tee shirt with this verse on it!  Do we remember that we are set free from the world? More importantly, God is speaking to us.

John 8 (NKJV):

“Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” Verses 32-33.

“Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.” Verse 36.

“The son of the slave wife was born in a human attempt to bring about the fulfillment of God’s promise. But the son of the freeborn wife was born as God’s own fulfillment of his promise.” Galatians 4:23 (NLT)

Do The Work – Don’t Let It Do You

Sage advice from a Walmart employee about his job.

Doesn’t it apply to our work for the Lord Jesus, too?  Are you letting something irritate you?

“Looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.”   Titus 2:13-14 (NKJV)

“Don’t be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good” Romans 12:21

Excellent Things

“Listen, for I will speak of excellent things, and from the opening of my lips will come right things;

for my mouth will speak truth; wickedness is an abomination to my lips.”

Proverbs 8:6-7 (NKJV).

“And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” Jesus in John 8:32

“I’ll show you a more excellent way” 1 Corinthians 12:31

“Love is patient and is kind” 1 Cor 13:4

“‘And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment. And the second, like it, is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”                        Jesus in Mark 12:30-31

Two Fifty

The Lord impressed upon me to return the two dollars and fifty cents to the store Manager. She previously returned the money after I complained about the taste of a bottled coffee drink that was expired, she gently stated that it was a “best by” date.

Even when I moved out of the area, the Lord reminded me that I failed to return it.  Two years went by, I came across a receipt from ‘that’ store – it bothered me.  I knew I had to act.  A week later, coming home from a conference, there was the store?  I pulled in, yes, the employees said, the store is in a new location!

Seemingly benign amount of money.  She almost didn’t want to take it; leaving, I felt a relief.  It’s for the Lord to say and for us to do.

Dear Lord, help us to hear Your voice and act accordingly, in Jesus’ name.

“So Samuel said: “Has the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed than the fat of rams.”

1Samuel 15:22 (NKJV).

Today is Today

A recent prophetic word I received, the Lord said, “Today is today, yesterday is yesterday, don’t confuse them.”

Dear Lord Father, each day above ground is a gift from You who give good gifts, let us read Your word, sit in Your presence, hear Your voice and pray for our friends and neighbors.

“Let us exhort each other while it’s still ‘today'” Hebrews 3:13.

“On that day no one who is on the housetop, with possessions inside, should go down to get them. Likewise, no one in the field should go back for anything. Remember Lot’s wife!” says Jesus in Luke 17:31-32 (NIV)

The Red Maple

I guess you didn’t expect me to have red leaves. In the winter I looked like all the other bare trees.  You were taken by surprise in the Spring when I showed my real leaf color.

But God knew what He was doing when He made me in secret in my mother’s womb, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made and my heart knows it right well (Psalm 139:13,14).

Man looks at the outward appearance, but God looks at the heart (1 Samuel 16:7).

All my days were fashioned for me when as yet there were none of them (Psalm 139:16). Amen.
