Dry Your Eyes On Me

the Lord impressed this on me when I was going through a tough time.  When all else fails; “I’ve got you. Just sit a while with Me and listen and be refreshed and I’ll heal you.  It’s all okay, you don’t have to be ashamed to cry or of any weakness.  I’ve got a plan for your life and this isn’t the end.”  Jesus seemed to say.

“Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed;

Save me, and I shall be saved,

For You are my praise”  Jeremiah 17:14 (NKJV).

“Jesus departed from there, skirted the Sea of Galilee, and went up on the mountain and sat down there.

“Then great multitudes came to Him, having with them the lame, blind, mute, maimed, and many others; and they laid them down at Jesus’ feet, and He healed them.”  Matthew 15:29-30.

“When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed.  And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick.” Matt 8:16.

Joshua

“Now Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom, for Moses had laid his hands on him; so the children of Israel heeded him, and did as the Lord had commanded Moses.”  Deuteronomy 34:9 (NKJV).

“Now when the apostles who were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent Peter and John to them, who, when they had come down, prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Spirit.

“For as yet He had fallen upon none of them.  They had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.  Then they laid hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit.”  Acts 8:11-17.

Dear Lord, bless our leaders that they lead with Your wisdom and be willing to serve, in Jesus’ Name and for Your glory only.  Amen.

Teach

Titus 2:11-15 (NIV), “For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, Who gave Himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for Himself a people that are His very own, eager to do what is good.

“These, then, are the things you should teach. Encourage and rebuke with all authority. Do not let anyone despise you.”

Hebrews 3:12-13 (NKJV), “Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God; but exhort one another daily, while it is call “Today,” lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.”

Proverbs 17:15 (NKJV), “He who justifies the wicked, and he who condemns the just, both of them alike are an abomination to the Lord.”

“If he hears you, you have gained your brother.” says Jesus in Matt 18:15.

Don’t Get Sidetracked

Jesus is coming soon.

Don’t get dissuaded because of the news or personal circumstances.  Stay on course.

“And behold, I come quickly; and My reward is with Me, to give every man according as his work shall be.” Revelation 22:12 (KJV).

“Seek justice, love mercy, walk humbly with our God” Micah 6:8.

Father, You have those who’ve submitted to You & gone before us.  They’re with You in Paradise.  Bless and comfort us who’ve lost loved ones. Empower us to walk in faith to serve You and others, in Jesus name.

Great praiseworthy news!  Baby Scott that we prayed for last year, who was born healthy despite doctors’ warnings, has robust lungs and heart.  He was cleared from monthly pulmonologist (in January) and cardiologist visits (two weeks ago) to only an annual heart check!! Praise You Lord Jesus!

Love Is The Rule

Song 8:6 (KJV), “Set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon thine arm: for love is strong as death; jealousy is cruel as the grave: the coals thereof are coals of fire, which hath a most vehement flame.”

There’s no rules to love people say.  Love is the rule of God though, through weakness or strength, anger of Peace.

“Love covers a multitude of sins.” Proverbs 10:12

Malachi 3:6 “For I am the Lord, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.”

“My ways are higher” Isaiah 55:9

“I’ll show you a more excellent way” 1 Corinthians 12:31

Chicken Parmesan Recipe

“For He satisfies the longing soul, and fills the hungry soul with goodness.” Psalm 107:9 (NKJV).

  • 2 Boneless Chicken Breasts
  • 2 Tablespoons Flour
  • Salt & Pepper
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Teaspoon water
  • 4 Ounces Breadcrumbs*
  • 3 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 4 Tablespoons Butter
  • 2 Ounces Parmesan Cheese
  • 4 Slices Mozzarella Cheese
  • 4 Slices Provolone Cheese
  • 3 Cups Tomato Sauce**

Slice breasts to make 4 slices.  Heat frying pan with olive oil on medium-high heat, add 2 tablespoons butter. Dip each chicken slice first into a bowl of flour with salt & pepper, then egg & water mixture, then breadcrumbs, covering with each layer.  Fry in pan about 5 minutes on each side.  Add 2 tablespoons butter in the pan for the second two chicken pieces (my pan only fit two at a time).  Put into baking dish, they will look golden brown and crispy.  Add a mozzarella and provolone slice to each chicken breast, spoon tomato sauce over each one.  Shake parmesan on top to make a layer.  Drizzle olive oil over cheese.  Bake 35 minutes, till cheese is bubble.

*Homemade Breadcrumbs: 2 slices of toast, put into a nutria-bullet.  Pulse 30 seconds.

**Homemade Tomato Sauce: Add 2 tablespoons olive oil to a saucepan with 3 chopped garlic cloves and 1 teaspoon dried oregano.  Sautee on medium heat till garlic is soft.  Add 28 ounce can of Crushed Tomatoes.  Bring to a boil on high heat.  Lower heat and add 2 ounces of a good red wine. Simmer for 20 minutes.

Serve with angel hair pasts and buttered vegetables.

This was inspired from one of our honeymoon dinners!

You Can’t Make This Stuff Up!

“But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you.” Jesus says in John 16:7 (NIV).

“But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.” 1 John 2:20 (KJV).

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.” states Paul in Romans 1:17 (NKJV).

Lord Jesus, we honor You and worship You, we praise You and thank You, let us read Your word daily, believe it and obey it, sun up to sun down in Your Holy Name, Amen!

You’re glorified, magnified, we give You all the honor, power and glory, forever and ever!  We love You and need You.
