Day of Mourning

Day of Mourning Protect the weak, despise not the children. Everyone who gives so much as a cup of cold water to a child has done so to Jesus Christ.

And whoever gives one of these little ones only a cup of cold water in thee name of a disciple, assuredly, I say to you, he shall by no means lose his reward.” says Jesus in Matt 10:42. (NKJV).

Matt 25:34-40, “Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’

“Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’”

Job 29:12, “When I went out to the gate by the city, when I took my seat in the open square, the young men saw me and hid, and the aged arose and stood; the princes refrained from talking, and put their hand on their mouth; the voice of nobles was hushed, and their tongue stuck to the roof of their mouth.  When the ear heard, then it blessed me, and when the eye saw then it approved me;

Because I delivered the poor who cried out, the father less and the one who had no helper.”

Job 31:21-23, “If I have raised my hand against the fatherless, when I saw I had help in the gate; then let my arm fall from my shoulder, let my arm be torn from the socket.  For destruction from God is a terror to me, and because of His magnificence I cannot endure.”

“Now, therefore,” says the Lord, “Turn to Me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning.” So rend your heart, and not your garments; return to the Lord your God, For He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness; and He relents from doing harm.” Joel 2:12-13.
