God Possible!

“For with God nothing shall be impossible.” The angel Gabriel assures Mary, Jesus’s mom in Luke 1:37 (KJV).

“But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”” in Matthew 19:23 (NKJV).

“And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen.” Mark 16:20 (NKJV).

“If God is for us, who can be against us?” Romans 8:31.

“Love never fails” 1 Corinthians 13:8.

Luke 24:

25-27, “And certain of those who were with us went to the tomb and found it just as the women had said; but Him they did not see.”

“Then He said to them, O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken!’ And beginning at Moses and all the Prophets, He expounded to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself.

46-47: “Then He said to them, Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day, and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.'”

Does anyone else see these Bible verses and say what was I so worried about?

Barking Up The Wrong Tree

Are our teachers off subject?  Skirting the issue of Jesus dying on the cross for our sins?

1 Peter 2:24 (NKJV), “Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness-by Whose stripes you were healed.”

Preach the gospel.

Preach the Word of God.

But whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst.  But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.” says Jesus in John 4:14 (NKJV).

Don’t be overcome by evil (Romans 12:21)

You are an overcomer.

You Can Carry

The Lord won’t allow you to be tempted beyond what you can handle, but He’ll provide a means of escape.

1 Corinthians 10:13 (NKJV), “No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.”

My friend couldn’t find her box of essential oils and thought she had left them at work.  It turned out she had never brought them. Leaving the house with many bags for her 12 hour shift, only bringing the guide book for the oils.

Isn’t it true God only gives you what you can handle?

Special Mashed Potatoes

“For He satisfies the longing soul, and fills the hungry soul with goodness.” Ps 107:9 (NKJV)

  • 8 Potatoes (enough to cover the bottom of a 6 quart pot)
  • 1 stick Butter (8 ounces)
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan Cheese
  • Salt & Pepper to taste

Put whole potatoes in 3 quart pot, add enough cold water to cover them, put lid on pot and cook on high heat. Bring to a boil and remove lid.  Continue cooking till soft, test by putting a fork through the largest potato, if it goes through easily and potatoes begin to crack, they’re done.  Drain hot water and transfer potatoes to a plate, let cool slightly.  You can pour cold water on them under the faucet to facilitate the cooling.   Wash the pot to reuse, peel potatoes and add back to pot.  Mix in the butter, milk, parmesan cheese and salt & pepper while mashing potatoes.  I used an electric mixer the last time.

I just saw a friend make these with parmesan cheese and an enormous amount of butter! She said her father used to use chicken fat until they heard that was bad for you, so they replaced it with the cheese.

My cousin used to warm the butter in the milk in a separate pot before adding to the potatoes.  She also added olive oil to everything she made.

Some people add sour cream, too and leave the skins on. It’s your choice, just add a little liquid at a time to get the right consistency.  Leftovers can be reheated in a frying pan with olive oil and butter.

Day of Mourning

Day of Mourning Protect the weak, despise not the children. Everyone who gives so much as a cup of cold water to a child has done so to Jesus Christ.

And whoever gives one of these little ones only a cup of cold water in thee name of a disciple, assuredly, I say to you, he shall by no means lose his reward.” says Jesus in Matt 10:42. (NKJV).

Matt 25:34-40, “Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’

“Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’”

Job 29:12, “When I went out to the gate by the city, when I took my seat in the open square, the young men saw me and hid, and the aged arose and stood; the princes refrained from talking, and put their hand on their mouth; the voice of nobles was hushed, and their tongue stuck to the roof of their mouth.  When the ear heard, then it blessed me, and when the eye saw then it approved me;

Because I delivered the poor who cried out, the father less and the one who had no helper.”

Job 31:21-23, “If I have raised my hand against the fatherless, when I saw I had help in the gate; then let my arm fall from my shoulder, let my arm be torn from the socket.  For destruction from God is a terror to me, and because of His magnificence I cannot endure.”

“Now, therefore,” says the Lord, “Turn to Me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning.” So rend your heart, and not your garments; return to the Lord your God, For He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness; and He relents from doing harm.” Joel 2:12-13.

Power of Words

K-Love radio is broadcasting a teaching on the power of words and how we’ll be accountable for all our idle ones.  We also rewatched a teaching telling us to agree only with God’s written or spoken words.

Jesus says, “For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.” in Matthew 12:37 (NKJV).

Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.” Proverbs 18:21 (NKJV).

Dear Jesus, I’m sorry for the wrong words I’ve been saying, I’m sorry for the selfish and unbelieving thoughts in my heart.  Create in me a clean heart that always hears You and speaks life to my family, neighbors, friends and enemies.  In Your Holy Name. Amen

Step In

Step up, clear your calendars, clear the air. Give the Lord, Who is worthy, your praise, your time, the honor due Him. Make room for Him. He will anoint you to preach the Gospel.

“A noise will come to the ends of the earth – for the Lord has a controversy with the nations; He will plead His case with all flesh.  He will give those who are wicked to the sword,’ says the Lord.”  Jeremiah 25:31 (NKJV).

“You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over.” Psalm 23:5 (NKJV).

Stop Abortion

Day of Mourning – Saturday February 23, 2019. Elizabeth Johnston, author of “Not On My Watch”

“Take heed that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that in heaven their angels always see the face of My Father who is in heaven.

“For the Son of Man has come to save that which was lost.” Matthew 18:10-11 (NKJV).

Habakkuk 2:1, “I will stand my watch and set myself on the rampart, and watch to see what He will say to me, and what I will answer when I am corrected.” (NKJV).

Psalm 82:3-4, “Defend the poor and fatherless; do justice to the afflicted and needy.  Deliver the poor and needy; free them from the hand of the wicked.” (NKJV).

Ezekiel 22:30, “So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one.” (NKJV).
