Proverbs 16:31 (NIV), “Gray hair is a crown of splendor; it is attained in the way of righteousness.”
Proverbs 20:29, (NKJV), “The glory of young men is their strength, And the splendor of old men is their gray head.”
Jesus said in Matt 15:3-6 (NKJV), “For God commanded, saying, ‘Honor your father and your mother’; and, ‘He who curses father or mother, let him be put to death.’ But you say, ‘Whoever says to his father or mother, “Whatever profit you might have received from me is a gift to God”—then he need not honor his father or mother.’ Thus you have made the commandment of God of no effect by your tradition.”
Dear Jesus, we put down the traditions that nullify Your commandments, we’re sorry for trying to be men-pleasers. We will abide in Your love and truth, no matter what. Help us to honor our elders and You in purity, Father God.
“Do not rebuke an older man harshly, but exhort him as if he were your father. Treat younger men as brothers, older women as mothers, and younger women as sisters, with absolute purity.” 2 Timothy 5:1-2 (NIV).

Verse 4-5 (NKJV), “He is proud, knowing nothing, but is obsessed with disputes and arguments over words, from which come envy, strife, reviling, evil suspicions, useless wranglings of men of corrupt minds and destitute of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. From such withdraw yourself.”
Verse 10 (NIV), “For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.”
