Isaiah 25:5 (KJV), “Thou shalt bring down the noise of strangers, as the heat in a dry place; even the heat with the shadow of a cloud: the branch of the terrible ones shall be brought low.”
Psalm 65:7 (NKJV), “You who still the noise of the seas,
The noise of their waves,
And the tumult of the peoples.”
Wow, these two verses came up during devotion one morning after praying; how many noises there were! God, You are our refuge against the storm of noise (Psalm 46:1). We love You!
Jesus said in Matthew 15:10, “Listen and understand.”
“A furious squall came up, and the waves broke over the boat, so that it was nearly swamped. Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him and said to him, “Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?” He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm.” Mark 4:37-39 (NIV).
