“It’s a Sin,” she joked,

unwittingly speaking truth aloud when what happened was covered up.  But having the power to do good and not do it is a sin (Proverbs 3:27-32, James 4:17).

A brother in the Lord admonishes us “to expose sin” Ephesians 5:11.

Jesus states in Luke 19:40, “even the rocks will cry out,” if the children are quieted from speaking the truth in praising Him.  And the prophet Habakkuk in 2:11, says the stones of the wall will cry out,” about the evil done there.

“The complacency of fools will destroy them,” says Proverbs 1:32.  And “Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil,” in Proverbs 5:20.

Though “evil will slay the wicked,” (Psalm 34); Jesus died for the worst sinner says Romans 5:6, “For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.”

God is in control, no matter what steps families debate on and what doctors do – timing is the Lord’s.

O God, grant our enemies the same openness, forgiveness & Love that You gave us when we were in darkness & did evil things, unknowingly hurting You.

The Holy Spirit

“Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the Lord of Hosts!”  Zechariah 4:6. (This verse came up in conversation about a need in the body).

How it must be by Your Holy Spirit dear Lord, for all we expect and hope to happen to honor You:

fill our church

raise up workers for ministries

break down barriers, strongholds

heal our bodies & hearts

reconcile our marriages, families

free the captives, O God, the children

Open our ears

We are Bare before You, O God

You can’t force niceness in them, just because it’s a law or rule.  And you can’t take foolishness out of someone… Proverbs 27:22.

In 2 Corinthians 10:12, Paul says no one is wise, when measured by each other.

We are bare before You, O God.  The axe is laid to the root of the trees, every tree that brings not forth good fruit is hewn down & cast into the fire (Luke 3:9).  Forgive those who did evil to us for such as them and us You died.

Until I See With My Own Eyes

John 20:25 (NIV), “So the other disciples told Him, “We have seen the Lord!” But he [Thomas] said to them, “Unless I see the nail marks in His hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe.”  A great message I heard from a Pastor, says, Jesus honored Thomas’ wish and met him exactly where he was and showed him personally His palms and side.  What a Friend!  He totally knows what he’s talking about now.  He’ll do and has done the same for us all.

Should one who has never been to the ocean, ought to try to describe it?

“If you weren’t there – shut your mouth,” reads a Viet nam War Veteran’s bumper sticker.

O Lord, please give me humility, to speak when spoken to and speak truth in love and compassion of what I know.

“I opened my mouth…

and panted: for I longed for Thy commandments,”  Psalm 119:131.

Jesus said, “Blessed are they which do hunger & thirst for righteousness: for they shall be filled,” in Matthew 5:6.

“When she heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched His garment.  For she said, If I may touch but His clothes, I shall be whole.  …She was healed of that plague,”  Mark 5:27-28, 29b.

John 19:28, “After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, saith, I thirst.”

“That’s Grace,”

I proclaimed, when told her pizza was paid for by the man in front of her in line.

“For the Lord God is a sun & shield: the Lord will give grace & glory: no good thing will He withhold from them that walk uprightly,” Psalm 84:11.

Eph 2:7, “That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.”

He’ll abundantly pardon,” Isaiah 55:7.

“And the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will Himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast,” 1 Peter 5:10 (NIV).

John 1:16 (ESV), “For from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace.”

Jesus says to forgive 7 times 70 times, (i.e. no limit) in Matt 18:21-22.  We have access by faith into this grace, Romans 5:2.  Hallelujia!  Thank You, Lord!

God is Happening

God is truth, light & life.  He Who began a good work in you, is faithful to complete it (Philippians 1:6).

God Calling Devotional, June 20th:

“Wait to hear My Will and then obey.  At all costs obey.  Do not fear.  I am a wall of protection around you.  See this.  To see this with the eyes of faith is to cause it to manifest when in the material.  Remember I long to work miracles, as when on earth I wrought them, but the same condition holds good.  I cannot do many mighty works because of unbelief [Mark 6:4-5].  So only in response to your belief can I do miracles works now.”

Manifesting Fruit

Fruit in due season.  We don’t make the fruit, it comes in its season.  I finally got the gift promised to me 4 weeks ago (four! – the number of order) from a friend; like strawberries in their season and next month: cherries.

I declare:  Everything we’re waiting for will be manifested in its season! in Jesus’ Name.

Psalm 104:27, “You give them their meat in due season.”

Waiting produces perseverance (Rom 5:3-5  and James 1:3), I told her.  A fruit of the Spirit: long-suffering (Galations 5).

“Thou it tarries, wait for it,” says Jesus in Luke 24:49.

“Wait for the Promise of the Father” Acts 1:4.

Suicide – Die Daily

You can die all the time, whenever you need an “out”.  We are no different, we need an escape, things are too tough, too much for us to bear at times.  Jesus knows that, He’s forgiving, understanding and loving.  And He has a plan.

Suicide was in the Bible:

1 Samuel 31:4-5, (NIV), “Saul said to his armor-bearer, “Draw your sword and run me through, or these uncircumcised fellows will come and run me through and abuse me.” But his armor-bearer was terrified and would not do it; so Saul took his own sword and fell on it.  When the armor-bearer saw that Saul was dead, he too fell on his sword and died with him.”

1 Kings 16:18 (NIV), “When Zimri saw that the city was taken, he went into the citadel of the royal palace and set the palace on fire around him. So he died, because of the sins he had committed, doing evil in the eyes of the LORD and following the ways of Jeroboam and committing the same sin Jeroboam had caused Israel to commit.”

Give it all to Him, let Him make your life beautiful – it’s a promise and everyone knows God cannot lie.  Ecclesiastes 3:11, “He will make all things beautiful in His time.”

Let go, and give everything to Him:  all your cares, sins, worries and joy.  We believers die daily to ourselves, giving Him control, every hour sometimes.  “Cast your cares because He cares for you.”  1 Peter 5:7.

We die to ourselves all the time, our agendas, plans.  God always has another way of seeing things in our lives.  He’s not surprised or shocked.

“Being made conformable unto His death,” Phil 3:10.  “For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain,” Phil 1:21.
