“There’s a Lesson in That”

the Pastor would joke when we made a mistake measuring or anything for the house we renovated after Hurricane Katrina.  But it’s a Biblical truth:

You teach my hands (to war and bend a bow), Psalm 18:34, 144:1

You establish the work of my hands, Psalm 90:17

1Peter 4:12-13, “Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:  But rejoice, inasmuch as you are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when His glory shall be revealed, you may be glad also with exceeding joy.”

“For a righteous man falls seven times, and rises again, But the wicked stumble in time of calamity,” Proverbs 24:16 (NASB).

Romans 5:3-4 (NIV), “Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.”

Father, all those years ago, thank You for the teams you grouped together on the mission trip and for this Pastor with his Holy Spirit teaching, “What are filled with?”
