High Flavor – Rice Pudding

  • 1 cup Jasmine Rice
  • 2 cups Water
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 2 1/4 cups Whole Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 3 tablespoons Maple Syrup

Combine the rice and water in a pot, add the olive oil, bring to a boil, stirring occasionally.  Lower heat and stir in nutmeg and cinnamon, simmer covered, until water is absorbed.  Begin adding the milk, a little at a time, stirring till each addition is nearly absorbed.  Stir in maple syrup.  Serve warm.  pexels-photo-226615.jpeg
