“And the angel of the Lord found her by a fountain of water in the wilderness, by the fountain in the way to Shur. And he said, Hagar, Sarai’s maid, whence came you? and whither will you go? And she said, I flee from the face of my mistress Sarai. And the angel of the Lord said to her, Return to your mistress, and submit yourself under her hands. And the angel of the Lord said unto her, I will multiply your seed exceedingly, that it shall not be numbered for multitude. And the angel of the Lord said to her, Behold, you are with child and shall bear a son, and shall call his name Ishmael; because the Lord hath heard your affliction. And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man’s hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren. And she called the name of the Lord that spoke to her, You God sees me: for she said, Have I also here looked after Him that sees me? Wherefore the well was called Beerlahairoi; behold, it is between Kadesh and Bered. And Hagar bore Abram a son: and Abram called his son’s name, which Hagar bare, Ishmael.” (Genesis 16:7-15).
My actions brought me to the desert, I told friends, “God sees me, He’s got me. I hear Him more clearly than ever.” In fact, I need Him more for survival than ever. It looks as though I made every wrong choice and am on a ledge. I even spoke negatively in agreeing with others in times of weakness. But You showed me Psalm 34:7 as literal truth. And You are the only One who really knows and loves me. You, Lord are the satisfying of my soul.
