…are yes and amen to everyone (2 Corinthians 1:20).
God cannot lie. He is always truthful. Even David waited to see how God’s anointing would flourish; 1 Samuel 16:12-13. He kept a good attitude for many years through greatness and defending his life from his father-in-law and others. 1 Samuel 30:6, reads, “And David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of all the people grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the Lord his God.”
After Saul and Jonathan died in battle, the Lord guided David to Hebron where he was anointed king of Judah, in 2 Samuel 1-4.
Dear Lord God, Your words are always true and bring life, You’re faithful to bring them to pass, I love You and trust You.
Psalm 3:3, “But You, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.”
Dear Lord, please lift up their heads this morning…I pray everyone comes to Your fountain to drink. (Psalm 36:9)
If homeless, you’re in good company – with John the Baptist. The Word says, “we are sojourners here,” 1 Chronicles 29:15. The world is not your home (1 Peter 2:11). We are beaten but not out (2 Corinthians 4:8,9).
“Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executes My counsel from a far country: yea, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it.” Isaiah 46:11.
Jesus says, “Be alert and watch for you know not when the time is,” Mark 13:33.
Ruth 2:11-12, “And Boaz answered and said unto her. It’s been fully showed me, all that you’ve done unto your mother-in-law since the death of your husband: and how you’ve left your father and your mother, and the land of your nativity, and are come unto a people which you knew not before.
The Lord recompense your work, and a full reward be given you of the Lord God of Israel, under Whose wings you are come to trust.”
Colossians 2:19, “…knit together, increase with the increase of God.”
Philippians 2:3-4, “Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.”
Dear Lord, please give increase to my brothers and sisters in their circle. Many are a part of One.
The Word says, God is no respecter of persons (Romans 2:11). Do we have favorites or honor guests with the best clothes? The word says to honor others in spite of their clothes (Romans 12:10).
“Man looks at outward appearance, but God looks at the heart,” 1 Samuel 16.
We need to become like Jesus, I’m afraid if we don’t, He will say, “I never knew you.” Luke 13:26, 27.
“All in one body, many parts” (Romans 12:5), Vs. 6, “Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith..”
So true. This was said in a prophetic dream before a sudden death in my family. But it reminded me of Oswald Chambers’, “My Utmost for His Highest” devotional in which he says, your faith in God must be strong where nothing that happens in life can tarnish His standing with you. (See My Utmost for His Highest, October 31).
“That I may know Him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable unto His death; If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.” Philippians 3:10, 11
The gifts of God’s Spirit, are His character. Reading the Word everyday, God reveals His heart.
Even seasoned pastors are getting one clue at a time. Living a life of trust in Almighty God.
“Always be ready with an answer in and out of season.” 2 Timothy 4:2
Dear Lord Father, help us to be alert for signs that point to You and to remember to wait on Your word to move forward.
Choices must come from within.
1 Samuel 10:6-7, “And the Spirit of the Lord will come upon you, and you shall prophesy with them, and shall be turned into another man. And let it be, when these signs are come unto you, that you do as occasion serve you; for God is with you.” Vs. 9, “And it was so, that when he had turned his back to go from Samuel, that God gave him another heart: and all those signs came to pass that day.”
Dear Lord Father, help us to remember how You kindly and patiently wooed us to come to You, the most important choice in our lives. And give us patience with each other similarly.
“In all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths,” Proverbs 3:6
The man stated he found the books he needed in the used book store, however obscure or out of print. It’s the Lord.
