Priceless

*How does God speak to you?  Jesus says, “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me…”

Start listening to the “still small voice” and obeying (1 Kings 19:12).  Seems like a clear thought, a sentence, a word, also an impression:  stop at this store for no reason you can think of.  Go in this business, go to the laundrymat.  When you follow through, He does something, a divine appointment, a cherished gift that only He knew you wanted. You could be given a friend’s name, their face shows up in your mind or their “twin” arrives in front of you when that person lives in another state.  When you call them it’s God’s timing, they needed to hear your encouragement just then.  If it’s not possible to call, you pray for them.  You’re obedient.  God starts to trust you.  You don’t always see fruit, but your work for the Kingdom is eternal and can’t be taken away.  His voice is always aligned with His character.

Seek purity.  Psalm 119:112, reads, “I have inclined mine heart to perform Your statutes alway, even unto the end.”

Four years ago, I was hearing the Lord, a few times a year.  I signed up for a one week, distant mission trip and was very apprehensive seeking the Lord and praying fervently for the trip.  I heard the Lord say, “It’s not going to be easy.”  Another time in prayer, He said, “You can do nothing without Me,”  that’s right from John 15.  The building where we stayed for the mission had a sign upstairs that read, “All things are possible with God,” “Not easy!”
