The Good LORD Pardon

2 Chronicles 30:18-20 (NASB), “For a multitude of the people, even many from Ephraim and Manasseh, Issachar and Zebulun, had not purified themselves, yet they ate the Passover otherwise than prescribed.

“For Hezekiah prayed for them, saying, ‘May the good Lord pardon everyone who prepares his heart to seek God, the LORD God of his fathers, though not according to the purification rules of the sanctuary.’

“So the LORD heard Hezekiah and healed the people.”

Psalm 86:5, 15, “For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, and abundant in lovingkindness to all who call upon You.”

“But You, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abundant in lovingkindness and truth.”

I wouldn’t put it past You, God, to heal that heart, lame leg, family turmoil, sickness, for You are willing and able.

“And He stretched out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” And immediately the leprosy left him.” Luke 5:13.

Wings

Deuteronomy 1:6 (NIV), “The Lord our God said to us at Horeb, “You have stayed long enough at this mountain.

Isaiah 40:29-31 (NKJV), “He gives power to the weak,
And to those who have no might He increases strength.
30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary,
And the young men shall utterly fall,
31 But those who wait on the Lord
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.”

Father God, help us to move, give Your anointing oil to facilitate going where You want us, for Your glory, in Jesus’ name, amen.

No One is Responsible…

for my identity, joy, life, breath, eyesight.

Father God gave all these things.

John 1:3-4, “All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men.”

John 9:25, “He replied, ‘Whether He is a sinner or not, I don’t know. One thing I do know. I was blind but now I see!'”

Overflowing, Running Over

“Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” Jesus says in Luke 6:38 (NIV)

“Uphold me with Your generous Spirit,” Psalm 51:12

You give of Yourself, O God.

6/13/2019 — The Word

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. — 2 Timothy 1:7 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before […]

Love of Self

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.” Jesus in Mark 12:30-31 (NIV).

Ephesians 5:33, “However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.”

“To thine own self be true” said William Shakespeare. Do people know how to nurture themselves?  Henry Cloud wrote a number of Godly Boundary books. You’ll have more to give.

Some ways I’ve learned:

  • Have a plan for the day, but be flexible. Jesus was always getting interrupted and went with the flow.
  • Get a good night’s sleep
  • Be pleasant with repeat offenders, but curtail their visits or phonecalls.
  • Eat right, listen to your body; cravings for yogurt, olive oil, salad, meat, sweets (honey, maple syrup), etc.
  • Get your happy time; prayer corner, walk in the park, gym, time with friends and family, cooking, gardening, singing, Paint a picture
  • Respect others’ bounderies

“I tell you, even though he will not get up and give you the bread because of friendship, yet because of your shameless audacity he will surely get up and give you as much as you need.” Jesus in Luke 11:8.  This is a picture of God.

Light in the Tunnel

Psalm 91:15 (KJV), “He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.”

Psalm 50:14-15, “Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High: And call upon Me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify Me.”

John 16:33 (NIV), Jesus says, “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

John 1:5, “And the Light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.”

Rewards

“And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if wise work is no more work.” Romans 11:6 (KJV).

“With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men: knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free.” Ephesians 6:7-8

“And the Lord turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.” Job 42:10

“Evil pursueth sinners: but to the righteous good shall be repayed.” Proverbs 13:21

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Jesus says in Matthew 6:33

“Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom.  For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.” Luke 6:38, said Jesus

“Look Thou upon me, and be merciful unto me, as Thou usest to do unto those that love Thy name.” Psalm 119:132

“He that giveth unto the poor shall not lack: but he that hideth his eyes shall have many a curse.” Proverbs 28:27.

For several weeks, we have been mulling over the fact that the Bible says God does help and reward us.  If you know of any other Bible verses on this, please share them.  Thanks! Jill

Praise 101

“Great Are You Lord” in my spirit waking up.  Then I read Psalm 101:

A Psalm of David.

I will sing of mercy and justice;
To You, O Lord, I will sing praises.

I will behave wisely in a perfect way.
Oh, when will You come to me?
I will walk within my house with a perfect heart.

I will set nothing wicked before my eyes;
I hate the work of those who fall away;
It shall not cling to me.
A perverse heart shall depart from me;
I will not know wickedness.

Whoever secretly slanders his neighbor,
Him I will destroy;
The one who has a haughty look and a proud heart,

Him I will not endure.

My eyes shall be on the faithful of the land,
That they may dwell with me;
He who walks in a perfect way,
He shall serve me.
He who works deceit shall not dwell within my house;
He who tells lies shall not continue in my presence.
Early I will destroy all the wicked of the land,
That I may cut off all the evildoers from the city of the Lord.

Oswald Chambers – May 26th – “The correct concept is to think of prayer as the breath in our lungs and the blood from our hearts.”

You Are My Stronghold

“The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.” Psalm 18:2 (NKJV)

Psalm 91: 1-6, 14-16

  • “He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in Him I will trust.’
  • “Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the perilous pestilence. He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler.
  • “You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrows that flies by day, nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.    Verses 1-6
  • “Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high because he has known My name. He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him, and show him My salvation.” Verses 14-16

“Do you think I cannot call on My Father, and He will at once put at My disposal more than twelve legions of angels?” Jesus to Pilate Matt 26:53 (NIV)
