Beautiful Tapestry

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you;

“Before you were born I sanctified you:

“I ordained you a prophet to the nations”

Jeremiah 1:5

You are the red thread,

in the beautiful journey that is your life, interwoven with all the other colors that make up the whole.

“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path” Psalm 119:105

You Are My Hiding Place

“You are my hiding place; you shall preserve me from trouble;

“You shall surround me with songs of deliverance.”

Selah

Psalm 32:7

“You shall hide them in the secret place of Your presence from the plots of man; you shall keep them secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues.”            Psalm 31:20

“Then they took up stones to throw at Him; but Jesus hid Himself and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.”                  John 8:59

Shield of Favor

“For thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.” Psalm 5:12 KJV

In the morning singing, ‘You surround me with a shield of favor,’ then all day, people were being generous to me; allowed in line before a man, my dress complimented as I crossed the street, a friend doing a favor, hearing that another friend is okay – not lost, but moved out of the area. People were ‘passing it forward’ into the night.

It’s all Yours, God!  The food, clothing, shelter, transportation; meanwhile, the air and even ourselves.

A Bow In Your Hands

“…He makes His bow and makes it ready.” Psalm 7:12 (NKJV)

I am a bow in Your hands, Lord

Draw me, lest I rot

Do not overdraw me, Lord. I shall break

Overdraw me, Lord, and who cares if I break?

Nikos Kazantzakis, quoted from The Ragamuffin Gospel, Brennan Manning

Every time I read this poem it brings tears to my eyes. How many of us pledge our undying devotion to God, then get scared, and then surrender to Him all over again?

Eyes To See

People are hungry for God.

People are hungry for love. Are you aware of that?

Do you know that? Do you see that?

Do you have eyes to see?

Quite often we look but we don’t see.

We are all passing through this world.

We need to open our eyes and see.

Mother Teresa

quoted from The Ragamuffin Gospel, by Brennan Manning

“…The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints…” Eph 1:18

Pure Milk

“Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” 2 Timothy 2:15

“Therefore, laying aside all malice, all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and all evil speaking, as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby, if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious.” 1 Peter 2:1-3

“Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.” John 17:17

Father, the key to Your heart is in Your word.  Thank You for loving us and giving us all life and purpose in You.

Thanks Guys, for all the WP love and thanks Pexels, for the beautiful photos!

Draw Near To God

“But it is good for me to draw near to God; I have put my trust in the Lord God, that I may declare all Your works.” Psalm 73:28 (NKJV)

“Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.” James 4:8

Jesus

“He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.” John 14:21

Jesus Christ plus Nothing

a saved man testified.

“Lord, now You are letting Your servant depart in peace, according to Your word; for my eyes have seen Your salvation which You have prepared before the face of all peoples,

“A light to bring revelation to the gentiles, and the glory of Your people Israel.” prays Simeon in Luke 2:29-32 (NKJV)

“All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.”  states the disciple John in John 1:3

“And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His named JESUS, for He will save His people from their sins.” The angel prophesies to Joseph in Matthew 1:21

“I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys to Hades and of Death.” says Jesus in Revelation 1:18

Consider This

“When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You have ordained,

“What is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of man that You visit him?” Psalm 8:3-4 (NKJV)

Jesus asks, “So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.” Matthew 6:28-29

This reminds me of the happy Worship song: “I Consider You.”

“Thee is no wisdom or understanding or counsel against the Lord.” Proverbs 21:30

Don’t Lose Heart

“And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.” Galatians 6:9 (NKJV)

“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.” Jesus says in John 14:1

“I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.

“Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; wait, I say, on the Lord!” David writes in Psalm 27:13-14

“Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, but a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised.” Proverbs 31:30
